We stayed here this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful in the snow. Sherri and Kevin were very warm and welcoming. They have their own brewery (with great beer!) with tasting room in the basement, and the inn is close to a restaurant and distillery. It's also not a far drive from Skyline Drive and Luray, and the Inn... More

This was our second time to stay here, and we have already booked our next visit. Kevin and Sherri are wonderful hosts, and go above and beyond to make your stay memorable and special. This B&B is very clean, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and quiet. We have stayed in two of the rooms. The Lavender Room is spacious, with a... More

Our relaxing three-day weekend began even before we arrived when Kevin and Sherri had made reservations at the spa, recommended hikes in the Shenandoahs (Old Rag, Little Devil, and Buck Hollow), and suggested local restaurants. When we arrived, there was a plate of cheese and a bottle of wine waiting for us in front of the parlor fireplace. Sherri's cookies... More

Perfect cabin by the river, cute, clean, enough space for a small family. Greeted with cookies and coffee. Can't wait to go back and try the beer!! The pub across the road is a lot of fun with a fancy antique shop! The host local events. The yoga studio across the road is lead by a fun passionate instructor. The... More

A very pleasant place, praiseworthy above all for the care, commitment and helpfulness of the innkeepers, Sherri and Kevin, ready to assist and advise in every way they can. Other plus points: delicious breakfasts; characterful rooms, and nice places to sit out in warm weather; free wifi (very important because cellphones don't work); and sensitive refurbishment of a historic building... My husband, our infant son and I stayed in the garden cottage the first weekend in December and had a wonderful visit to Rappahannock. The cottage suited our needs to a T: we could make our own coffee and use the refrigerator and kitchen and have time with our son without having to rush anywhere or worry that his crying... More

My husband and I spend one night at Hopkins Ordinary on a last-minute trip to climb Old Rag. Kevin and Sherri were very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We hadn't given them advance notice that we'd be leaving early (before the scheduled breakfast time) to hike. If we had, they would have prepared a packed breakfast, but even with the short... More

We planned a weekend trip for the Shenandoah NP and Luray. There were five of us in the group - my husband and our toddler and my husband's parents. With a young child, it was looking like we would have to stay in one of the chain hotels further away from the park area, but then we stumbled upon the... More

The proprietor's were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was delicious. Great location for lots of hiking and close to many little towns for wonderful dining and antiquing. Our fabulous hosts, Sherri & Kevin were very helpful with great hiking information, dining options and some of the best breakfasts I've ever had at a B&B. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable and tastefully decorated. We hope to visit there again soon.
