We had a return visit to The Conyers house this weekend. Pristine mountain meadows artfully dotted with cows. Open skies. Winding country roads, lovely sunsets. Nearby hikes. Big views with blue mountains in the background. Cute little country stores It’s right in front of you at the Conyers House. Conveniently located near the country amenities of the trails and country... More

My wife and I returned to Sperryville to enjoy the wineries. Originally had reservation for Spring House cottage, but switched to Helen's Room in the main house. Room was very large with a nice porch. Trek up to cottage would have been tiresome after the first day. Each morning's breakfast was different and very filling. Hostess is very accommodating and... My husband and I spent a quick overnight at the Conyers House a few weeks ago for our 11th anniversary. We ended up getting the inn all to ourselves and Sandra Cartwright-Brown allowed us the privacy when we needed it but also was around to answer questions and inform us of the "happenings" in the area. She was extremely informative... More

We had a wonderful night's stay during a biking tour of surrounding counties. Sandra was a great hostess and made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was excellent and so was the conversation. We had a lot of fun with the old attic room and its antique bathtub. The porch off the bedroom was a great place to relax. We hope... More

My husband and I recently got married at the Conyers House Country Inn and we could not have picked a more perfect spot! The location was excellent, the view of the mountains was beautiful, the house was over 200 years old and had so much history it was amazing and the owner was awesome :) We had never been there... What a lovely surprise to find this enthusiastic review on my screen. This couple enjoyed everything I suggested and certainly added to the success of the restaurants in the area. Friday night they went to The Madison Inn, Saturday night after their massages here followed by the wedding here (and honoring me by asking that I conduct the ceremony), they... More

I stayed here on a whim with my girlfriend when we were out motorcycling and it got a bit too cold. The owner is an amazingly nice lady, an excellent cook and great fun to talk with. The house is old and rustic but it has all the amenities and is extremely comfortable. I would recommend this place to any... More

I visited conyers house 20 yrs ago on a honeymoon and I knew I'd be back. I've often thought of the conyers house over the last two decades and seized my opportunity to return with my 2nd (new & improved) wife in 6/12. It was very comforting to find everything exactly as I remembered. We arrived on a Tues. with... More

My beloved wanted to hike "Old Rag" mountain for his birthday. I was so glad we chose to stay at Conyers House. I remember thinking that the website's descriptions understated the beauty of the rooms I could see in the photographs--and I was right! We loved the Old Attic room's peaked ceiling and delightful furnishings and linens, fell asleep to... More

Our family of 4 have visited the Conyers House many times. The setting is idyllic, and a perfect getaway from Washington area. The historic home is beautiful with each of the rooms different and decorated in a lovely English country style. The owner, Sandra Cartwright-Brown is a gracious hostess and very knowledgeable about the area and the fun things to... More

Lovely bed and breakfast near beautiful Rag Mountain. Quiet. Lots of friendly pets in residence. Excellent food and the rooms have interesting reading material. Would recommend for a quiet, romantic getaway. We arranged for dinner there as well--delicious!
