We stayed in the two-bedroom 1790 cottage. We loved the old-style of the cottage - it really does take you back in time. It was so quiet and peaceful. The deck feels very private as it is on the opposite side from the winery. We sat outside for all of our meals. The kitchen has all of the modern amenities... More

A group of us stopped here first on a vineyard tour. The wines were great. Really enjoyed the oak Chardonnay. The staff was friendly & informative. We ended up staying for a lot longer than we thought we would. It was nice to sit outside, very peaceful!

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend in celebration of our anniversary and I was SO happily surprised. We opted to stay in a cottage instead of a typical B&B for more privacy and we made the right choice. The carriage house is simple but tastefully decorated and overlooks the river with a nice deck. It feels secluded... More

Stayed two nights and had a wonderful time. Stayed in the 1790 cottage...which is old but well kept and has a wonderful deck with a great view of Old Rag. This is a low key vineyard - not snobby - and the Innkeepers are really friendly. Breakfast was super and the hiking nearby was fun. Can't get much better than... More

We just stayed in the carriage house and it was truly what we were looking for which was a total disconnect from the D.C. area. We took a cooler with a picnic dinner so after wine tasting we sat on our own personal deck overlooking the small river and enjoyed our wine and dinner in total quiet. Jim served us... More

Folks A picnic on the deck is the way to go, topped off with fireflies....you guys found the essence of a stay at Sharp Rock. Thanks for staying with us and I am glad we could get you into a little wine as well. Jimm More

We stayed here as a convenient place to hike Old Rag in October, and it ended up being a great mini-vacation. We stayed in the Cottage, which I would stay at again. We were able to grill out and cook a full dinner, while watching the sunset, which is much more relaxing than any restaurant. Having been to a dozen... More

My wife and I spent a few days at Sharp Rock Vineyard this fall and had a magical experience. The B&B- Sometimes the typical B&B experience can be a bit socially awkward, sharing an old house with thin walls and having breakfast with strangers. That was not the case here. Each cottage is private, quiet, quaint and more than adequate!!... More

Folks Thanks for the kind words...it was a pleasure having you all and an extra thanks for your hard volunteer work in the vineyard with harvest. Great to see young folks that are willing to do a little manual labor. Hope you all can visit again. Jimm More

My boyfriend and I were taking a mini vacation in the area and wanted to stop by a winery. We aren't big wine connoisseurs but when we read the reviews for Sharp Rock and saw there were wine dogs we were sold. Getting to Sharp Rock itself is an adventure, but very much worth it. About a mile off the... More

We just returned from our weekend at Sharp Rock Vineyard B&B. What a fantastic time! My husband and I were joined by another couple at Sharp Rock to hike Old Rag. We stayed in the 2-story cottage and it was perfect. Peaceful, quiet, a lovely dusk walk through the vineyards. Our friends had an adjustment to living "unconnected"! No Wi-Fi,... More
