The three of us (husband, wife and teenage son) spent a night here on our way to Washington from Alabama. We were very pleased with the place for it's location, price, breakfast and the room. The view from the top of the hill was fantastic. We will stay there again.... more

I was very happy to find this motel after more than 30 years of driving I-81 once or twice a year. It is easy to locate; if you are northbound, you can see it on the hill to your left. Take exit 137, then turn left at the end of the ramp. Take your first right, an immediate right if... more

Basic facilities. I would have reviewed this hotel on my frequent flyer page, but didn't have the option. Location is good as long as you don't have a trailer to haul up the very, very step road & driveway! Great view if you are not on the backside of the building, too! HBO was not available due to some lawsuit... more

I always read reviews before I select a hotel. I think this is just my nature of trying to get the best deal for the least cost. I look for ratings and then scan down to find the hotel with the most stars at the least cost... and believe me that doesn't always turn out well. So this hotel had... more

The service was generally rude or disinterested. The breakfast bar was not replenished, even after requests, so those not arriving early had little left from which to choose. more

These is an update to a previous review. The second time was not a charm. They didn't have my reservations and tried to charge me more for the room. They did not want me to go back to the car to get the confirmation print out I had. After I did and proved to them what the rate was they... more

My daughter and I were in town for a softball tournament. I called for a rate quote ahead of time, but when I arrived to check in after 8pm I was given a different rate. I was told that the rooms with a view are more expensive and they didn't have any of the non-view rooms available. I took what... more

This is an older property situated high above the southbound side of Interstate 81. Its design indicates that it is a former Holiday Inn. While the location affords nice views, it also means considerable road noise from the interstate; you might be better off booking a "backside" room. Checking in proved to be a chore - though 2 people were... more
