Lovely property in a nice area, with all the comforts of home, and a good value. We stayed in the Peacock room, with a charming private bath down the hall. Wendy was a wonderful hostess, and very accommodating with dietary restrictions and preferences. Her well behaved little dog, Teddy, was a delight and was a highlight of our stay. Breakfast... More

An unexpected surprise in Roanoke. The house has many details that provide charm and is extremely well kept and organized; it's obvious a lot of elbow grease has gone and continue to go into the house. The floors are gorgeous. Nice restaurant in walking distance (casual dress) - about 2 blocks and in a quiet neighborhood. Wendy is very accommodating... More

Just got back from staying at Rose Hill with Wendy and Teddy. It was a spur of the moment trip and boy are we glad we picked this B&B. Wendy is a hoot and Teddy is the greatest little guy there is. Food was amazing and the B&B is just beautiful. We plan on going back again soon. Thanks Wendy... More

Wendy was very accommodating, breakfast delicious and we enjoyed use of living room for visiting with family, glasses and plates for wine and snacks (ours). She recommended an excellent restaurant within walking distance

My husband and I go out of town almost every weekend for work and usually stay at 3 star hotels. We were tired of that so decided this time a B&B. We could not have made a better decision. We were treated like Royalty, Wendy and Teddy welcomed us with open arms. The house is lovely, every nook and cranny.... More

What can one say about Rose Hill, Wendy and Teddy -- a lot, so let's start with Rose Hill, charming, warm, stunningly beautiful -- the setting took me back to the days when kids played outside and families took walks together -- I could have spent the whole three days on that front porch ;) I absolutely loved the Garden... I recently spent 4 nights at Rose Hill while my Mom was in Roanoke hospital. I could not have made a better choice for accommodations. Each time I entered Rose Hill the warmth of the house, the kindness of its owner and the cuteness of its little dog melted away my tension. The food was delicious, the bed was perfect... More

My husband and I have enjoyed three Roanoke visits and our first stay at Rose Hill last weekend quickly made this our best trip yet. It's hard to add anything that hasn't already been said in other reviews and I'm already looking forward to our next visit. Close proximity to downtown was a big plus. The house is in the... More

Wendy Blair is a breakfast magician. A modern kitchen is where Ms. Wendy Blair prepares meals and she knows how to make you feel at home, truly pampering her guests. She has her own secret recipe for mulled cider, and the chocolate-chip and sugar cookies were a surprise treat. Her bacon quiche is fantastic as was the egg-nog French toast... More

You could really see that Wendy gave the house a lot of TLC. The garden room in which we stayed was beautiful within every detail and we really liked the goof's (try to find the when visiting). Wendy is a great host and cook. We felt like a prince and princess in the gorgeous dining room. Both of the 3... More
