This is a beautiful B&B located in a quiet neighborhood in Roanoke. This was our first visit to both the inn and Roanoke, and felt very welcomed. The owners, Lynn and Jim, a personable and very accommodating. They work very hard to provide a relaxing stay. The rooms are beautifully decorated and extremely quiet. The breakfasts are well presented and... More

Stayed here with friends about six months ago and we all loved it. Brought other three friends this time and they feel in love with the place, as well as innkeepers Jim and Lyn and you simply cannot beat the price!

While I am not generally a Bed & Breakfast person, my wife and I stopped here in the course of traveling through the area and found the King George Inn be very nice and the price was quite reasonable. The innkeepers, Lynn and Jim, met us at the door, made a concerted effort to remember our names and after showing... More

The King George is a trip back in time to a period of elegance. Walking down the stair case is an experience in itself. The architecture of this home is a demonstration of superior quality. The rooms are airy and spacious. The sheets are delightfully fragrant. The hosts Lynn and Jim were very gracious and welcoming sharing a glass of... More

My family stayed at the King George in early February 2015. The hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They took into consideration dietary restrictions (one vegetarian), a late arrival, and gave great recommendations for restaurants in the area. The breakfast was a revelation (in a good way). The rooms cozy, luxurious, and exceedingly clean. Hot water in the showers never... More

My husband and I made our first trip to Roanoke, VA, with the Blue Ridge Parkway as our goal. We looked for a lovely B&B that would bring us into the city, had an excellent reputation, and would be close to the Parkway. We found exactly what we wanted with the King George Inn. The off street parking was so... More

This grand old home has large, comfortable rooms with nice appointments. While I did feel that the beds were a little too close to the walls for two people, the layout was otherwise very nice. The bathroom was nicely updated with everything functioning well. There was no flexibility in breakfast times which was a tad inconvenient, and no selection in... More

Hello, Thank you for the gracious review. We are flexible with our breakfast time as many of our guests prefer to get an early start...If there are no special requests, our breakfast times are 8:30 - 9:00. Dining together is part of the BandB experience. Kind regards, Lynn and Jim Hunt Innkeepers More

This was a fantastic experience! The home is beautiful, the location is great, and Jim is the perfect host. To top it off, breakfast was fantastic. I'd definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends.

We chose this inn because it was close to the blue ridge parkway. We loved the inn immediately. Jim and Lynn were so easy to talk to about our travels. Lynn helped me explore Roanoke with my geocaching adventures. I love geocaching because it takes me to interesting places. And the King George Inn is one of those places. Cathy,... More

From my arrival Jim and Lynn did everything they could to make me feel welcome and comfortable. My luggage didn't make it on my flight so Lynn gave me a toothbrush, toothpaste and floss and even a nice cotton shirt to sleep in! The Inn was impeccably clean, the bed heavenly, and I was surrounded by beauty! I was not... More
