My friend nor I who each drove four hours respectively from opposite directions travel extensively have never been so unwelcome anywhere. It took a long time to find Jim who treated us like intruders. Here is your room. We had to ask about breakfast and track him down to ask how to operate temperature controls. He told us that one... An experience of the Victorian era at its best with gracious hosts and superb food! The Queen Charlotte room was very charming and very quiet. Our visit with Jim and Lynn.was an enriching experience overall.

Jim & Lynn are great host and their house is fabulous. We like to stay in older well kept B&B's when possible. King George Inn certainly fits in this category, the rooms are very spacious and well furnished and there are several common rooms with seating for guest. The house is located in an upscale neighborhood in Roanoke and very... More

We just needed a stop over while driving the Blue Ridge Parkway and the King George Inn did fine. The house itself is charming and the hosts are lovely. The room price includes a nice warm breakfast in the morning. The room we stayed in was big and clean ( no TV, which didn't bother us) and the bathroom was... More

We were driving from NYC to Asheville and decided to stay overnight in Roanoke. Lynn & Jim Hunt were great hosts, warm and pleasant. They were open to sharing the history of the town and house. Lynn showed us around her amazing home which includes a private art studio for herself and a rarely used 2,000 sq. ft. attic. We stayed... More

Visitor center recommended this inn. We could not have found a better place. Lynn and Jim were very interesting but not overbearing. The decorating was not at all cluttered or overdone with beautiful antiques and artwork. Would highly recommend.

We loved the King George Inn. The house itself is stunning; it is gracious and elegance and is probably the house we would all choose to live with a family. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and the bathroom's original features did not detract from its efficiency. However, what made this a special place was Lynn and Jim. As innkeepers... More

Stayed here on a Saturday for 1 night as we made our way down the Blue Ridge Parkway and choose here as it was not overly far from the access point. We stayed in the Queen Victoria room which is spacious and nicely decorated. The original bathroom with original fixtures is a nice feature, unusual! The room does not have... More

King George B&B is richly appointed and full of southern charm. Jim and Lynn were warm and welcoming. We sat in their living room and had a delightful chat when I arrived. The Queen Victoria room was elegant and the bed was the best hotel bed I've had outside a Westin! Breakfast was a fruit cup, juice, good coffee, followed... More
