The Bedrock Inn is nice. The manager called to let me know a room had become available while we were en route to the area and offered me her cell phone number to get specific directions when we were closer to the Inn.

The Inn sits DIRECTLY behind a quarry - so when you think you aren't going to find it - and you think you see a quarry - you are THERE.

I thought it was odd to have an Inn next to a quarry and while driving up had reservations - but it was quiet and peaceful with no odditys associated with location. The grounds surrounding the Inn were really lovely. Full of summertime ferns and daylillies with plenty of outdoor seating areas...a resident rabbit tried to scare me everytime I went outside and I watched a chipmonk work very hard at something while reading each morning.

The bed in the master bedroom was excellent. We slept like rocks on both evenings we stayed there. Only disadvantage to the master bedroom was that all other guests walk past... more
