In 1999 my husband and I stayed at the Inn, after scouring the area online for a place to stay for the Bristol NASCAR race. We have stayed many times since, but not in the last 6 years as my husband is confined to a wheelchair.
We were there when the owner would make visits from her home nearby. It was wonderful to learn the history of the house, quarry, and family, as well as see all the lovely family photos adorning the walls. The years from 1999-2002 when we stayed at least once a year for 2 nights, there was a resident manager who spent time chatting with us if we wished, and ALWAYS made a wonderful, hot ,delicious breakfast, with fruit, buns, and coffee or tea. I'm sad to read now that breakfast sounds like any motel's "continental breakfast".
