Very cozy Bed & Breakfast in old town Portsmouth. We stay here for a week every year during an event in town. Anne makes it feel like an 'home away from home'. Amazing home cooked breakfast in the morning. The house is old and charming and we just love Anne and her place, nothing fancy but just nice.

This was a very charming bed and breakfast- far better than any of the chain hotels in the Portsmouth area. From bottled water to makeup remover and scented body wash all the details were perfect. The owner was incredibly sweet. We will return the next time we need to spend the night in Portsmouth.

We were much in need of a vacation from home, but didn't want to drive a long distance. Despite only living 15 or so miles from Portsmouth, we had never really taken the time to explore this town. So glad we did and chose Glencoe Inn to stay. Ann is a fantastic hostess. Warm hospitality awaits you here. Her breakfasts... More

We stayed at the Glencoe B&B while visiting family in the Norfolk area. It was New Year's Eve, just in time for the annual Scottish Walk. Anne, our hostess, was most gracious. Her lovely home was decorated for Christmas, with tartans everywhere. The Scottish parade route went right in front of her home in the historic area. We joined in... More

At the Glencoe Inn we were greeted by warm hospitality. Our stay was private and relaxing on the third floor , the Ian MacGregor. We had a peaceful rest and enjoyed the secluded outdoor deck at night and in the morning with a delicious cup of coffee. We thoroughly enjoyed Ann's scones, breakfast and her good company! Thank you! A wonderful part of Portsmouth has been preserved. Old Town is pretty much the same as I remember it 50 years ago when I walked barefoot up to High Street with my brother and cousins to get a $10 coke from the fountain. Glen Coe Inn is a part of the historical section. Anne is trying to preserve this part... More

Stayed for a week and wish I could have stayed longer. Ann is a great host who is friendly in a laid back way. Bed was comfy, food was served well and hot, scones and coffee delicious! See you again Anne.

While visiting a newphew in Portsmouth, we stayed with Anne at the Glen Coe. She has a wonderful warm Scottish accent and is full of stories. The home is warmly decorated with tartans and books on Scotland. (The Scotland reference is why we chose this B&B.) We could not have been happier. The food was fantastic and after breakfast, Anne... We spent four days at the Glencoe Inn this fall. It was an excellent time. We especially enjoyed the top floor with all its room and patio. Anne is a great host and the breakfasts are wonderful.
