Endkess emaiks were unanswered and i had 2 get a new zealand resident to phone her to read my emails. Just not good enough when u have... More

The owners were very obliging and friendly.. The beds were very comfortable and we were in a 2 bedroom unit. Unfortunately the door to the 2nd bedroom couldn't open completely because the bed was too long. The blinds in both rooms were vertical blinds and let the light come in, There was only 1 curtain across the front lounge window... More

I can't rate the hotel itself and what its like to stay there as we had booked our stay two weeks in advance only to find out when we arrived that they had no record of us in there system. Also come to find out they were fully booked. With no apology or recommendation of other accommodation we left. In... More

Stayed Wednesday night at New Haven Motel. Met the new owners, a very motivated young couple who have plans to upgrade all the units. Had a very comfortable bed, just wish the neighbourhood rooster would disappear, 3 a.m wakening this morning!!!! Look forward to seeing the upgrades on my next visit in about 6months time.

Ten of us, some couples and some singles, stayed here while we did the cycle trail. For two parts if it we started at the motel. For the other it was only a 30 minute drive. A variety of accommodation options here and very friendly and helpful staff. The beds are comfy, units clean and warm

Penny was a shining star at New Haven. Room was clean and comfortable, very accommodating for a last minute room. Local RSA had good food at good prices and a courtesy bus. We had four adults share a studio room which was small but had enough room. Bathroom needs a rejig but otherwise great.

A very friendly welcome from helpful managers to this rather old, basic motel which was spotlessly clean and provided everything needed for an overnight stay. The fixtures and fittings were showing their age but the woodwork had been freshly painted. There was poor reception on the tv which had limited channels and the fridge was rather noisy but the beds... More

It was really nice stay there. Found this place after a long way to Cape Reinga from Auckland and came tired to Kaikohe late night. Proprietor was really nice and friendly. Also helped us to find the best places around.

Friendly owners, very helpful and forthcoming with information about the cycle trail. Good rates, comfortable night with genuine country small town hospitality.

We'd ridden from Kerikeri on our bikes on a damp day, and were pleased to get to the motel. Our host was expecting us, and had our unit ready for immediate occupation (and a hot shower). The family unit we had was smallish but more than adequate for the 2 of us plus 2 teenage boys. The cooking facilities were... More
