After a 3 to 4 hour drive from Auckland we arrived at Relax a lodge. We were welcomed and shown to our cottage. We stayed in the Dolittle cottage and we loved it. The cottage was really comfortable, clean and well equipped. The shower was great with loads of hot water. Teabags, coffee and sugar were provided. We had a... More

We had such a relaxed stay, and we loved every minute of it! It's a cosy cottage, clean and welcoming with nice beds and an immaculate bathroom with a bubble bath, a joy for our kids. The cottage is overlooking the orange trees, and gives plenty of privacy. Sitting on the deck you feel like being in paradise. The host... More

Stayed in the main house for four nights and was a pleasant enough stay. The lodge is situated a bit away from everything but not a problem if you have a car. The grounds and various animals roaming around do help to make you feel relaxed, and Claes is a very funny host. They had two travellers woofing whilst I... More

We stayed in the private cabin which had everything we wanted and more. It had a veranda for sitting out and enjoying the sun, a fully furnished kitchen (with extras like orange squeezers, salt and pepper and fresh oranges on request) and Relax a Lodge is a short drive to the town of KeriKeri and longer walks. We went there... More

For us one of the best in NZ ! Claes who is living in the cosy backpacker is so friendly and helpful. The two dogs in the house are adorable. We stayed one week and it was like our own home. Double room with wardrobe, furnitures, hangers and hooks for our stuffs. Only one bathroom (waiting sometime) but perfect. Spacious... More

Lovely hospitality. Beautiful wooden home inside. Very clean and warm with the fire place on every night! Their pictures depict exactly what their accommodation offers. I think real life was better though. Definetly the best accommodation or backpackers in North Island. I promise. Agree 100% with Chris B! Worth your money and WARM SHOWER! Kitchen is fully equipped and its... More

The living space is all a cherry coloured would, with huge living room with sofa's & fire place, the kitchen is well equipped for cooking, your own meals, but also making a... More

Stayed in Fishmore and was very nice and relaxing. Quite a few bugs in our room but the fly spray under the bench was very useful. Comfortable, warm and quiet place to stay with really good prices. Loved waking up to friendly chooks and the two dogs. Would recommend.

We stayed in the moonshine cottage for 3 nights and it was a true highlight of our NZ journey! The cottage is extremely well equipped and just perfect for a family to enjoy and relax. Claes and Inga were fantastic hosts and our kids were especially fond of Kiki, Klecksie and Hamish, the funny Kune Kune pigs.

We stayed here four nights in the Doolittle cabin, and it was absolutely delightful. Cabin was well equipped, peaceful citrus grove setting. The nearby beautiful hostel lodge had Claus (owner) and host Inga nearb, who were extremely helpful. We stayed four nights and tried to extend our stay but it was booked. The larger cabins would be perfect for a... More
