We were welcomed with a glass of wine & cookies, very happy to spend time telling us about local attractions that would interest us & details of restaurants and a hand drawn map of all their locations. The room was clean & pleasant, the bed has to be one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The motel is... More

Greeted with a glass of wine, our stay got off to a great start. Lovely owners who know what customer service means. Beautifully appointed, clean rooms. Very comfortable beds. I can highly recommend the Colonial House Motel as THE place to stay in Kerikeri.

After a long day of driving, meeting the couple who manage the motel was a pleasure. It was clear that customer service is important to them. The room was super clean and spacious. The motel is tucked away in a lovely, quiet spot that has flowering vegetation and other beautiful plants. Although there are elements of the room that appear... More

Fantastic service, clean tidy room, friendly hosts. Great experience. Highly recommended accomodation. We stayed for 1 night and had some difficult requests but hosts went out of their way to accommodate us the best they could. Very comfortable room

We spent two nights here and had a wonderful stay. Upon arrival we were offered complimentary wine and homemade ginger crunch - a nice unexpected surprise. There was a lovely spa bath for relaxation after our long days of sightseeing. The hosts were extremely helpful with advice for sightseeing around Kerikeri and dining options.

Alan and Andea welcomed us here after a long drive. They couldn't do enough to help out and make us feel at home. The cabins were like an oasis in the woods surrounded by birdsong and lush vegetation.Parking is good here as well. It is located in an area off the main road, so fairly quiet. It is a walk... More

We spent Auckland Anniversary Weekend in Kerikeri and found ourselves very well situated at the Colonial House Motel . The units are well-appointed and spotlessly clean & tidy. Andrea and Alan are very helpful and approachable hosts. We enjoyed the pool and spa pool. Also useful was our hosts' knowledge of the area when we were planning a side-trip to... More

We were impressed by this motel's tripadvisor reviews and rating so chose it as we had nothing else to help us decide. We didn't arrive until 10pm after a long day of travel and our children (aged one and four) were very tired the next day. Alan and Andrea were very kind and helpful hosts but we didn't feel that... Dear Ceri, thank you for your review. We especially wanted to welcome you and make you feel at home since we realised that flying from the UK and then driving 3½ hours to Kerikeri (arriving at 10pm) would be extremely tiring, especially for your very young family. We therefore kept our office open, waited up for you to arrive and... More

We stayed 2 single nights on our trip and this was a relaxing safe haven in wild storms. It was on the top end of our budget (but under $200 for 4), but worth it. I hastily read reviews while we were driving into town and decided on this place. We were welcomed with a glass of wine and kept... More
