We stayed a short notice when stuck in Northland due to road closures. We needed to accommodate 2 adults and 4 kids, and Abilene was one of only two available motels that could do this. We had unit 2, which was basic and dated but clean. There was a bit of mold in the bathroom area on wall/roof, but apart... More

This motel is situated at the end of town and surrounded by huge trees. You still get a bit of noise from the road so I dont think it can be double insulated. Very clean and really friendly owner. Units are a bit dated but it had everything I needed and was warm.

I only stayed here for one night, however I would've like to stay longer if I was visiting Kerikeri for longer. It is definitely the nicest motel I've stayed in so far. Even though the owner said the room I booked was the smallest room, the room was huge. It was clean and tidy, and had everything I needed (i.e.... More

Great motel with everything we needed. We stayed 2 nights to see the area and we would happily come back to this motel. We had a 2 bedroomed unit as we were a party of adults. Looked as if it was good for children too. Good WiFi. Nice and clean, spacious in a very relaxing environment and very good value... More

Stayed one night. Central motel to shops and to such things as the stone store and Kemp House. Comfortable rooms with all cooking utensils you could want. Spacious and the pool is magnificent. Beautiful trees surrounding and quite tranquil. Friendly hosts. Had no problems with Wi Fi in our room (Room 5). Happy to Recommend. Walking distance to shops. Value... More

,Finally a motel/hotel which gives easy access to wifi. Tops marks on this alone. But generally the motel is tidy spacious and nice kitchen. Nice reasonable tv. The grounds are well laid out with trampolines for kids.

we are a party of two adults and took a studio unit. Very clean and snuggly warm. Its well located and our unit was really quiet. Its a 1960s built motel but new beds sheets anf fittings. The tariff was very reasomable especially when comparef to other motels we have used. The owner went out of his way to help... More

I spent just 1 night there. The main reasons I chose it - was central & having free wifi in rooms. Booked by phone - very friendly & told wifi in rooms - arrived 6.30pm & checked in - told the first 100MBs were free & given password. After settling in my room (Room 8) I attempted to log on... Unit 8 is a very clean and comfortable unit for two people. It is a little older and is priced accordingly – it’s one of the cheapest motel rooms in Kerikeri. The wireless internet is great and works well, but the signal strength can sometimes be affected by wet weather. It was raining that night. We were not told about... More

We spend 2 days there - the owners are great! Thanks again for making our stay so nice! We arrived there very tired and had a warm welcome. We enjoyed the spa a lot! Unfortunately, the weather was too cold to use the pool. It is located very close to the CB, which we liked a lot.
