Yes, .. it's warm , it's super comfortable, it's convenient, it's spacious, it's beautiful, it's quiet, it's great value, it's simply perfect. But! what about the hosts? Now that's where it gets interesting. Wendy and Tony are PERFECT. They are absolutely absorbed in your complete enjoyment of their area and will do and arrange anything to achieve this. Why can't... We had a wonderful stay with Wendy and Tony in a large room on the bottom floor of their home. The guest area is very separate from the house, which gives this place more of a boutique hotel feel. Breakfast was scrumptious and Wendy and Tony were great to chat to! Lovely people who helped us when we locked our... More

Thank you choosing Treghan for your recent stay. Yes the rooms are all very large each with their own private lounge and private entrance to give you the privacy you deserve. I often think of you both with the key that you locked in the car, adds to the experience with a bit of humour along the way, come back... More

a wonderful b & b for a mini northland break, Wendy and Tony are perfect hosts, providing local knowledge whether it be the birdlife or activies and help you make the most of time in Keri Keri and surrounding countryside. Wendys homemade muesli fresh fruit to be recommended. The accomodation is very tasteful with everything provided - thank you.

Wendy and Tony are brillant hosts. Just the right amount of attention and assistance. Not in your face like some B and Bs but on hand with sage advice and ideas of local attractions. It's like staying with a favourite Aunt and Uncle. The location is a little hard to find but all the better for it being off the... More

Thank you so much for staying with us, I know you found it a little difficult to find us which is a first as we have great signage on the Kerikeri road and so close to the village and lights showing the sign at night. Come back soon I know how you loved my specialty porridge, it will be on... More

A business trip to Whangarei inspired an impromptu getaway to the Bay of Islands. My partner and I were thrilled to find Treghan Cottage nestled in the native bush of Keri Keri, but not at all far from local amenities. We had the pleasure of hearing real kiwis calling in the night. This really was the perfect place to stay.... More

Wow! An absolutely gorgeous house and fantastic hosts. Wendy and Tony made us feel so welcome. The Tui suite (an upgrade from the Fantail suite we had booked - totally unexpected) was spacious and beautifully appointed with one of the most comfortable beds we have slept in. A delicious breakfast and great conversation. It was a pity we were only... More

We loved this place & wished we could stay longer. We wouldn't normally stay at a B&B, but Treghan Cottage is different than most, as they have two apartments, each with a spacious sitting room and separate bedroom. Oh what high praise, we are delighted our efforts to achieve such a high standard work.
