We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at The Old Manse. In addition to nice lodging and excellent food, Megan and Mal shared the history of the manse and the area. They helped us in planning meals out and what to see in the areas.

My partner and I were fortunate enough to be able to have an extended (6 nights) stay at the Old Manse, and so we feel we were able to develop a very good appreciation of it as a place to stay. Firstly, we will be back - our stay was so pleasant and relaxing that we will definitely be returning,... More

Stayed in this incredibly romantic old villa for two nights. Megan was absolutely charming and the breakfast was not only delicious but the table setting of chrystal glasses and fine linen really made this a classy experience. Fresh flowers, fluffy snowy white towels and classy decor made this a weekend to remember. Visiting Martinborough? Don't miss this gem.

During our christmas visit to the lower North Island we decided to stay in Martinborough at the last minute. As we prefer to stay in smaller properties offering B&B The Old Manse caught our eye and were not disappointed. The building is beautiful and Malcolm & Megan are amazing hosts - the evening get together for wine and nibbles is... More

We stayed here labour weekend and really enjoyed our stay. We had stayed here previously but the ownership had since changed. It was just as good on our second stay, the new hosts have done some touch ups to the B&B but kept all the original charm. The house is beautiful with an interesting history and each room is uniquely... More

The Old Manse is a nicely restored old house, set in a large and very attractive garden, with a vineyard next to it. We had a large high ceiling room with a very comfortable bed. Our friendly hosts Mal and Megan served a glass of wine with crackers and cheese in the evening before we went out for dinner. Breakfast,... More

We were here for the semifinals of the Rugby World Cup on labour weekend. We were very well looked after and had The front room which was perfect for us because we got up early for the semifinals to see the All Blacks squeak past the Springboks -phew. Mal went out of his way to get up early on both... More

We were very impressed with the standard of this accommodation. Beautiful setting, very friendly host and hostess, excellent, very clean accommodation. We were made to feel like part of the family rather than paying guests. Would definitely recommend and will certainly stay again.
