Two lovely nights were spent in this lovely B&B. Location was perfect, only about ten minutes walk from town and plenty of places to eat. Underfloor heating was a treat, and everything was completely comfortable.

What a find, not knowing the area at all we just happened to select and book at one of those unique places. The hosts Bruce and Denise are so friendly and accommodating, the rooms great and when the sun shines in it is so easy to relax. The location is just 2 minutes out of town, surrounded by vineyards. Aylstone Boutique can be found amongst vineyards and beautiful countryside, however it is still close enough to the town for a gentle walk. Our room was beautifully decorated and quite large. It had a small patio overlooking the vineyards and was very peaceful. Bruce was an attentative host and clearly loved what he was doing. Pity we couldn't stay a... More

Had a wonderful stay here. Close to town. Easy walk or bike in good weather. Parking on premises. Great location to visit wineries. Also restaurants walking distance Room was good size and clean. Bathroom was ensuite with shower. Wifi was spotty. Breakfast was good. No hot foods. but with the quality of this spread, that was not necessary. Perfect to... More

Denise and Bruce are delightful hosts and have a beautiful property, well maintained in ideal setting. Enjoyed two restful days in this picture postcard village and loved the opportunity to leave the car and walk between places with the close proximity to town and wineries. Only negative was noise between rooms. Breakfast was excellent and nice to have library area... More

We travelled to NZ for a few days, and stayed only 1 night at Aylestone. How we wished it could have been more. A beautiful spacious room overlooking the mountains .... Soft robes to relax in .... A lovely breakfast ... A great reading room for playing cards in at night .... And then there are our hosts, Denise and... More

Really nice accommodation - comfortable and quite luxurious. Excellent ambience. Hosts, Bruce and Denise were ultra friendly and full of good advice. Reasonably easy walk to a number of great vineyards and into town. Perhaps a but on the expensive side.

Only stayed one night but it was excellent and we will be back, we hope Bruce makes his dream come true with his wine tasting tours with a tuk tuk.. There was very Little tofault only a few Suggestions to make this even more perfect, the gravel path should be paved, and do not laugh but we could have done... More

We have just spent the weekend at this wonderful venue. Superb! Martinborough is a great place to visit and Alystone is part of one of New Zealand's best spots. Lovely rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful experience, the greatest hosts ever!

It is a “retreat” from the hustle & bustle of everyday living, giving a quiet, peaceful time to reflect, sit up on the roof turret lookout, enjoy a glass of something you just purchased! survey the acres of vines in every direction and decide which winery to visit next; a cup of tea on your own balcony or if it...
