DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! We stayed at the Sandcastles and the apartment might have been 4 star when it was built in the 1980s; however it hasn't been updated since then so now it is barely a three star standard. The paintwork was shocking, the tiles were shiny; the carpet was worn; there was no hairdryer in the ensuite and... More

Dear Louise12au, Thank you for taking the time to review our property. I was disappointed to read that the Sandcastles apartment didn't meet your expectations. While we acknowledge the building is not new, we do market our Sandcastles apartments at 3.5 star rating with panoramic views over the ocean. I will personally speak with the Housekeeping team to ensure our... More

This was our last stay on a 3 week trip around NZ and OZ and we were really looking forward to having an apartment with a sea view and resting at a beach resort. The apartment was in an absolutely ideal spot. On entering the building, the reception area was a little bare and worn out. The sofas looked as... More

Our family of 7 adults and 2 young children stayed 4 nights in 2 apartments. The staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the lift was spoilt and we were informed that it will remain so even to the day we leave. Having to bring the luggages up 3 storeys by ourselves was challenging. They did offered to help but we... More

We (myself, husband and 2 kids 12 & 16yrs) stayed in Seashells block in a standard 2 bed apt in Dec 2014. Having looked at TA in advance I was aware that standards differed wildly between apts. I emailed the manager Eloise in advance as we were travelling to WA from Ireland for the 1st time and didn't want to... More

Positives: When you arrive at Seashells the first thing you will notice is the stunning view out over Scarborough beach. The location is also fantastic with many great bars and restaurants in close walking distance and of course the short walk to the beach. Negatives: We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and parking was almost impossible to find. We ended... More

We had a very enjoyable 10 night stay at Seashells Scarborough. Our 2 bed superior apartment was spotless and very well equipped. The view from the balcony was great and so nice to have a pool to cool off in at the end of a hot day! Superb choice of restaurants on the doorstep and ample undercover parking made for... More

The rooms have everything one needs, even if the furniture is a touch on the outdated side. We had a frontal sea view (which I recommend in asking for), and it was simply lovely to have breakfast there, and even spend cooler evenings. The beach is 3 min walk away, there is a big supermarket just next door, some nice... More

We stayed at Seashells in August 2014, so my memory may be a little hazy on some aspects! We arrived late at night, and had already been given a key code in advance to access our room key from a little box outside reception, which is closed at night. There are plenty of parking spaces opposite the apartments to enable... More

It was our 1st time visiting WA, and was wonderfully surprised at how big, clean and friendly staff, we were there for 2 weeks and we will come again , I think the doors are heavy for a reason ( fire safety) we found this also with the stairs doors , it wasn't a problem as has cleaners ourselves we... This was a visit back to my home town but I was looking for a beach experience with my kids. I booked the 2 bedroom apartment in the main building. (room 102). I cannot fault it. The room was clean, tidy and well appointed. It's not brand new but it is well maintained. The location is perfect as it's a... More
