I have had the privilege of staying in the Ocean Beach Hotel twice in the last three months. Check in has always been done promptly and the receptionist that works during the day has a lovely smile! On to the rooms, I believe this place has been through a refurbishment in recent times - all of the furniture and amenities... More

We booked our OBH room through Wotif for a weekend in Perth in February, flying in from Adelaide. We were a bit unsure of the venue, being a Hotel, but it was not far from the Rottnest Channel swim start so we thought, "what the heck, go for it." Well we were not disappointed. Our room was spacious and well... More

Firstly, when you arrive please note that the rocking, raucous, yobby pub is where the accommodation is - go next door and there is an apartment block beachside. The rooms are passable, the views magnificent and the best bit is an ocean swim in the morning followed by the magnificent breakfast at the beach cafe across the road. I would... More

We have stayed at this hotel for the past four years, essentially because of the view offered by the Spa rooms and the proximity to the beach. Those years we have been prepared to overlook the tired and rundown look of the rooms for the benefits offered by the location of the hotel. So we were delighted to find on... More

Great experience. I went to CBLU on a weeknight with my husband and another couple for a nice dinner while we all visited Perth. The view is great and the restaurant is well-appointed and stylish. We ordered entree's to share (garlic bread and something else - prawns I think?). The waitress apparently forgot to place this order, however without us... More

Absolutely the worst dining experience I have been through. These"chefs" and "waiters" have the taste buds and people skills of feral hippies on acid and must have been picked up from the back packers. firstly we were made to to wait 10 minutes while two waiters ordered ahead us. We ordered salt and pepper squid, chilli garlic prawns and a... More

The accommodation was sufficient but extremely hot, but the hotel it is attached to was horrible. Staff were lovely but management was terrible. They decided to end their New Year's Eve party at 12.03 - no concern for the clientele. And the tea bags are really overpriced!

The rooms are big, though nothing fancy. The location is great and there is secure parking. It would be good if there was some basic cutlery & crockery then could have breakfast in the room. Staff friendly and helpful. A short walk to the beach ( across the road). If you want a cheap'ish hotel right on the beach this... More

Even with only a few other customers there for lunch on a weekday, the service was at best disappointing. It began when a couple of people who had clearly been waiting longer were ignored so people who had just stepped up to the bar could be served. They then mis-heard my order of 2 fish and chips and 1 chicken... More

The rooms at this hotel are huge - and many have a sink etc, as well as a table to work at, which would make them a good option for a longer stay. The decor is basic but well-maintained, and the staff on the front desk were friendly and helpful. My only gripe is the cost of the wifi -... More
