We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on this beautiful farm. Such an amazing location with spectacular views! The kids loved feeding the animals each day and didn't want to leave. Helen and Julian were lovely hosts, just beautiful with the kids. Would definitely recommend for any young family or for a romantic retreat for couples.

A wonderful place to stay – 3 visits in 6 months says it all. A wonderful place just to get away for a few days or to use as a base to explore the coast and the many inland attactions. The cabins are very clean and well equipped with everything you will need including to cook in if you decide... More

The best country self contained say I've had so far! The views were idyllic, the Blackwood cottage comfortably accommodated 4 people plus 3 dogs-bedding for dogs was provided. Beautiful fern gully at short walk distance. Lovely hosts, including all the farm animals. Clean, picturesque, quiet. Pub food was fantastic only 8 km away. Recommended by Helen. Rough looking but boy... More

We've just come back from 2 nights at Johanna River Farm and Cottages, we loved it and we will be going back. The location if fantastic - It's central to many of the attractions around the Cape Otway and Port Campbell area. It is picturesque and the hosts, Helen and Julian are really friendly and exceptionally helpful. The farm dogs,... More

As many have already mentioned, this place is cosy and clean. The cottage have more than enough room for everyone. The host Helen and Julian are very friendly. The kids enjoyed the friendly dogs Zac and Charlie and feeding the animals on the farm. There are fresh chicken eggs, lemons to be plucked and even herbs and spices on the... More

Never expect a farmstay to be so cosy with real wood fire place to keep us warm. We also enjoy cooking our own meals but make sure you buy groceries before you come as there is no nearby groceries stores. The farm experience is great with friendly farm animals. We even get to pick fresh chicken eggs to cook for... More

A warm and cosy fire-place on a chilly night ... and firewood provided, of course. This is the cottage we stayed in. They do have guests even during winter time (in May/June) especially those that come from tertiary schools. It’s less than an hour’s drive to Otway Lighthouse or about an hour’s drive to 12 Apostles and Bay of Islands.... More

Helen and Julian are welcoming hosts and their farm is a great place for a family stay, even in mid-winter. Besides the friendly sheep, ponies, dogs and farm fresh eggs, there are plenty of birds and the occasional mob of kangaroos. It was nice to experience the cottage heated mainly by the wood burning stove.

As we pulled up by our cottage, Zac came running to greet us and our daughter was thrilled to see him when we opened the car doors. Then little orphan Annie the sheep and her boyfriend were feeding just below the balcony of our cottage. We honestly thought they had been planted there for our arrival! Our two-year old was... More
