We lived the stay at Lemonthyme just as much this time as we did the first time 14 years ago. I honestly have no idea what the reviews complaining about staff or the road are talking about. The road is single lane but very safe when driven carefully. The staff were wonderful and treated us with warmth and politeness at... More

There was a minimal problem with the booking initially but we sorted out prior to arrival. There were four of us as a family and the 2 bedroom rustic cabin sitting in the treetops was more than adequate for us. A small kitchenette with a microwave, electric frypan, and utensils. The weather was cold in May but the gas fires... More

We were not prepared for the isolation of this lovely place but would loved to have stayed more than the one night! Was comfortable and warm on a cold wet night - the restaurant was fabulous with the staff being fantastic! The waitress was a bubbly friendly young lady who was just lovely. We were surprised to find that we... More

the four of us booked two rooms on the property but when we arrived at night we were informed that over-booking has occurred and we all have to stay in the same room. the room was very nice with spa and fireplace and we were promised reimbursement by the following week. however it took a month long negotiation with the... If you want to get away and just relax, this is the place. We didn't spend enough time to enjoy all that Lemonthyme has to offer and the rain curtailed any bushwalks, but we didn't care. Just sitting on the balcony, reading a good book in the company of towering gums and tree ferns did plenty to recharge spirit. The... More

We stayed in a treetop cabin on a special rate that included our food (2 x dinners, 2 x breakfasts and a lunch hamper). We found this to be amazing value. Our cabin, while slightly dated, was large and cosy with a gas woodfire in the corner that heated the space perfectly. There was no TV in the room, but... More

We stayed there for 2 nights, myself and 3 children. The retreat is 20 mins from Cradle Mountain and about 8klms on a dirt road, off the highway. Absolutely loved the quietness and at one with nature, even with kids it was great. We hiked up to two waterfalls, Champagne & Bridal Vial and what a magnificent sight. Big open... More

For years we have been saying that we need to stay at Lemonthyme Lodge. Finally we have done it, and what an experience it was. From the moment you turn off the sealed road and take the trip along the 8 kilometers of well maintained gravel road, you get the feeling that you are leaving civilization. Checking in was the... We enjoyed our stay immensely and were impressed with every factor of the place. We found the food, lodging and staff to be top notch. The meals were top quality and cooked to order and presented in style. Staff were wonderful, helpful and attentive. We stayed in a luxury spa suite and with a package deal which included a bottle... The Lemonthyme Lodge (AKA Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat) was definitely the highlight of our lodgings in Tasmania. As mentioned in my contributor profile, I tend to splurge from time to time during a trip, and splurge I did here indeed.....Lemonthyme had a special "Honeymoon Romantic Package Deal" (Or similar, I'm not sure what they called it when I made the booking...
