I needed somewhere special to celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary. I saw Lemonthyme Lodges advert on local TV for the two night for the price of 1 special. This seemed too good to ignore. As we were arriving late after the restaurant had closed we asked if a suitable wine and cheese platter could be waiting for us. On arrival... More

The accommodation itself was lovely and clean however there are a couple of things about this accommodation which would prevent my family returning here again. Firstly it's nice to have a tv in the accommodation if you could actually watch it. There is no tv reception there....a note in front of the tv lets you know though that reception has... More

We regret that you were disappointed with you stay at Lemonthyme Lodge. The heading of you review, “DRIVE AND TRY TO SURVIVE”, is in our view unjustifiable. Dolcoath Road which leads into Lemonthyme Lodge is a local council road and although unsealed, is very well maintained. At the appropriate speed the road is safe to travel on both day and... More

The lodge is tired and out dated and does not have a friendly appeal to it. The drive to the lodge is horrible and the location is so far away from any facilities so either take your own supplies or be prepared to pay the ridiculous prices charged at the lodge. By the time you reach the lodge there is... More

We are disappointed with the sentiment of your review. The road into Lemonthyme Wilderness Retreat is a council owned road, it is generally very well maintained. Your booking was made through one of our internet booking sites which clearly identifies our remote location, the gravel road, and that we are located 35 minutes away from the Cradle Mountain National Park.... My husband and I had the most amazing weekend away at Lemonthyme Lodge. We stayed in a luxury spa suite which couldn't be faulted. The spa is in a bay window that looks out into the wilderness which was so relaxing. We had dinner in the restaurant which also couldn't be faulted. Amazing food and such great value for money.... My partner and I have been trying to come down at least once a year to this beautiful and secluded lodge. Has not changed at all and that is a good thing. It's just the perfect getaway from technology and the big city to the sounds of the wilderness. The food as always was amazing and wine selection fantastic. Was... More

We stayed here for 1 night and I wish we could have stayed longer! The two ladies working on Monday night 07/07 and Tuesday morning were fantastic. Could not fault their consistent, friendly & professional service. The two course meal in the restaurant was really nice, quiet and relaxing. Our tree top cabin was really nice and one of the... My husband, myself and my 2 teenage sons stayed here for only 1 night in a 2 bedroom chalet. Upon arrival it was very quiet and we were surprised at the number of little chalets dotted amongst the trees as we thought it was only a tiny resort. Our chalet. named 'Daisy Dell' was very spacious with a lounge area... More

We stayed at the Lemonthyme Lodge for two nights over the Queen's Birthday long weekend and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked the tree top cabin, it was nice, spacious and warm. The best thing about the Lemonthyme Lodge is that it's immersed in nature and there are lots of nice walks to do around the lodge. The staff... More

Beautiful part of the world, but why the attitude? After booking and travelling to the Lemonthyme Lodge from Melbourne, I could not put up with the passive aggressive actions of staff and management so we left to stay elsewhere. It all started and ended at book in. From the whispered comments to each other behind hands, the rolling of eyes,... More

We are disappointed with the sentiment of your review. Apart from your primary description of our staff being an oxymoron, this review is quite difficult to respond to, as your encounter with Lemonthyme Lodge apparently occurred nearly 1 year ago. We are quite surprised we have not heard about this before!! The "Gen-Y" staff you refer to would never act... More
