This is a "Mom and Pops" operation where the husband and wife do everything with a little extra help. I think this couple is a little overworked. The grounds needed major work. The breakfast and dinner were just fair. The rooms were pleasant, but "tired". It would not be my choice again.

The kind of place where you say: "Somebody really loves this place!" Indeed a labour of love! Rosslyn and Chris are delightful...smallish rooms with comfy beds...incredible views out the window of our room, nice sitting area/patio outside, cute little swimming pool... the food is really special...kudos to the chefs! We moved to Wanderers Rest for the second half of our week on Kangaroo Island having spent the first part over at Wilderness Retreat and what a great decision this was.
