I Stayed here last week. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and tidy. There is onsite parking available and a restaurant at the motel. Located centrally and an easy walk anywhere. Would stay here again. The locals are friendly and a good place to stop for a couple of days.

This place can be missed easily if I hadn't read the reviews and also seen the pic that it was next to subway. Room was basic but enough for an overnight stay. Location is near shops/restaurants etc which you only need to walk to. We ate at the Vietnamese shop just a few shops from accommodation. Food was delicious but... More

Good location off the Main Street . Room is basic but has everything needed and is clean. Bed was comfortable but pillows were the very firm kind. Reception staff have extras like hair dryers if you ask.

A mixture of hotch potch old and new, and so badly in need of a makeover, one way or the other. However, it is ideally located right in the centre of town. Park in the main street to check in then drive around to the rear entrance to park your vehicle for your stay. Friendly reception lady, clean rooms but... More

The entrance is off the main street with the parking on the street behind. You need to park in the main street and walk down the walkway to the Motel. Once you have booked in then drive around the street behind if you want to park. It was very reasonable in price. The room was fine, had a queen size... More

I was actually checking in the same time as the clergyman and as he did not want to fill in the appropriate paperwork for his stay. He was the one to get abusive. My stay there was very welcoming and friendly. And as for the steakhouse it was divine. Thanks very much for the country atmosphere accommodation. My compliments to... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set high on a ridge the town of Childers overlooks rich red soils covered in lush green . Immerse yourself in the rolling countryside as you approach Childers main street, then get swept up in the Nostalgia surrounded by beautiful street lining of mature leopard trees. Park under the trees then walk around and look. You are in a town that is well over 100 years old…Now just consider the wealth that was around then to build a town of this size. You are in one of Queensland’s most prosperous towns of yesteryear and the best thing is it is still here to enjoy. Note one side of the street is built of timber and one of masonry…originally it was all timber but around 1900 one side burnt to the ground and was rebuilt in masonry. This town is an Architects delight. ... more   less
