there's so much to do here. Wineries, horseback riding, even antiquing. By the way , the price was way better than the other inns. Loved my room (black walnut) next time I'll try the blue willow just so I can try the jacuzzi.

Marty and Victoria make your stay relaxing, cozy, and as slow or active as you want! We enjoyed the large gas fireplace in the game room in the evening and walked the path around the pond in the morning--special even in January. Breakfast was delicious with a choice between sweet or savory. On our second night, we enjoyed a very... More

a lovely get away- the owners Victoria and Marty very knowledgeable of the area- we had a very comfortable stay- a last minute plan for us- extremely comfortable sleep and beautiful table setting, delicious breakfast at the Inn. We chose to tour some vineyards- and Marty made some great recommendations- Keswick (nice size, intimate, great wine)- and Barboursville (larger but... More

My then Fiance found the Inn on Poplar Hill via the web and we were looking for places to host our wedding. One visit was all it took for us to fall in love with this Inn. Marty and Vickie are great hosts and Vickie's cookies, brownies and breakfast are one of the highlights. Suffice to say we had our... More

We visited the Inn on Poplar Hill for a weekend in June, and had a wonderful time. The Inn itself is charming, just rambling enough to feel authentic, but in reality, clean and modern. We stayed in the Library, the room a few reviewers have mentioned, which features a claw foot tub in the actual bedroom. It was a surprise... More

This is a great B&B! Marty is such a wonderful, helpful host & will give you recommendations for restaurants, wineries, etc. His wife is an amazing cook and you will not be disappointed by the fancy and filling breakfasts. The property is large with many trails and a pond with a firepit/seating/etc. A group of us (all college friends) stayed... More

My wife and I stayed there this weekend and we absolutely loved the place. Orange is a sleepy little town located near several prominent vineyards and this was the perfect place to escape to at the end of a long day. Victoria and Mardy were wonderful hosts and eager to help with any questions you had about the area. They... More

We found the Inn at Poplar Hill thanks to Twitter and booked a special package they ran. Marty and Victoria were very gracious hosts and accommodated us well given that we had a late arrival. Our room was clean and cozy, and we enjoyed the common game room access. Breakfast each day was a real treat. It kept us satisfied... More

We had the perfect wedding weekend at the Inn on Poplar Hill, May 8, 2010. The weekend began with the rehearsal in the beautiful gardens at the inn. We followed the rehearsal with dinner at Elmwood at Sparks, recommended by the inn keepers, it was amazing and a great value. We went back to the inn and wanted to spend... More

This was our 2nd time staying at the Inn On Poplar Hill. This time we stayed in the Magnolia Room. The room was large enough that it was able to accomodate a king size bed, a single, and a trundle bed with room to spare. The beds were very comfortable. The room was very clean and the bathroom was accomodating.... More
