We had a fabulous visit at the Inn at Poplar Hill! The history of this Inn is amazing! The rooms are beautifully furnished with period antiques and the host and hostess are beyond friendly and welcoming. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and welcome. Breakfast was amazing - the best we have ever had... More

Marty and Victoria are great hosts, the rooms are beautiful, comfy beds, a nice game room for entertainment, a hearty gourmet breakfast, and it is located in a very quaint town with lots of great wineries nearby. There are several trails on the 28 acre property for hiking. Also, the home of James Madison, Montpelier, is only a few miles away... More

Just got back from a lovely relaxed bachelorette weekend with 15 girls at the Inn on Poplar Hill. From first contact, Marty and Victoria were wonderfully helpful and accommodating. They helped me put together a weekend full of surprises and fantastic food for my sister and her friends. We were welcomed with freshly baked cookies, including some gluten free ones... More

My wife and I just had an absolutely wonderful weekend staying at the Inn on Poplar Hill. We live in Washington, D.C. and decided to have a local getaway for our first anniversary. From the moment we arrived at the Inn, everything made for the perfect weekend away. Victoria had baked gluten-free cookies and had other snacks ready for our... More

If you're looking for a quaint, home-like, atmosphere where you feel like family, this is the perfect setting. Marty and Victoria were amazing hosts, leaving no detail unchecked. It seemed like magic that our every need was met, without feeling like someone was following after you. We stat on the tree swing outside and suddenly the twinkle lights came on.... More

A beautiful, historic home with wonderful innkeepers and a delicious breakfast on an amazing property. I chose this B&B both for the reviews (of rooms and breakfast) and price compared to nearby places. Highlights: Incredible breakfast by the fireplace, incredible property (acres of pathways for taking walks, hammocks hidden throughout the pathways, a pond out back with chairs for relaxing... More

We went here for a girl's weekend and enjoyed the delicious food, exceptional customer service, and enjoyable game room. There were a couple quirky things that you might expect from a 100+ year old house, but for the price, they could be overlooked. Marty and Victoria shared the many large, cozy common rooms (game room, living room, and dining room)... More

Five of us stayed the weekend at Marty & Victoria's Inn on Poplar Hill. Definitely a delight and welcome retreat. We were able to hang out together in the pool hall area, scrapbooking, relaxing, etc. Although, the nearby wineries were such a treat, and as an added bonus, they provided passes to nearby wineries, saving some of the tasting fees... My husband and I spent Valentines weekend at the Inn. The room we occupied was the Library room. The bed was the best part of the room, nice linens and very comfy, however the shower/bathtub is located in the corner of the room and it was odd. There was ants in the toilet area . The room was sparsely lit... More
