I have been a guest at this hotel over the past 15+ years and finally the total refurbishment of the hotel itself has been finished. We saw a show at the theatre at the Panthers complex and so stayed the night onsite. The room was comfortable, conveniently located and well-priced. We were really happy to stay here and will do so again if in the area overnight. more

I stayed at the Chifley at Penrith Panthers this week for 1 night - I have stayed here around 5 times in the past 3 years, back when it was a Holiday Inn and now under the new Chifley management. Stayed in a newly renovated room, containing a flat screen television and a new bathroom with a modern single shower. My family of 4 stayed here on NYE and have to say we can not fault this hotel. After a recent TERRIBLE experience at a 5 star establishment it was great to find a hotel with helpful staff. This is not a good hotel experience. Staff not at all helpful with guidance for local tours. I returned to my room to find my nightwear piled on the floor. expensive meals. A long way out, unless you are on the way to somewhere like the Blue Mountains. more

If you are staying in Penrith for a night, then this hotel is fine. Its a bit of a walk from the train station, but they do have a bus that picks up from the train, otherwise its a pretty cheap cab fare.
