We stayed here for the weekend on March 22nd for my sons wedding. I cannot say enough about the hospitality that Jim and Margo give. They have to be two if the nicest people you could meet. They went out there way for everyone. We had several family members staying as none of us were from the area. They were... More

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Whitcomb Summit for the weekend to attend my friends wedding. The host, Jim, is very accommodating. He came to the motel to give us our key at 8:30pm after the rehearsal dinner and explain how everything in the room works. He is a great guy who really wants to make sure you enjoy... More

I stayed here while in Florida for a few days, and I can't express enough how hospitibal the staff is. They went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and very clean. And you certainly can't beat the view. I would (and will) definitely recommend staying.

Great little getaway for a weekend with your partner. Rooms have an old world charm at the top of the berkshires with gorgeous panoramic views. Located fairly close to the college town of North Adams, good dining and entertainment options, and Jim and the staff are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Be sure to drive up during the day,... You won't find to many places like this old mountain top resort. It lies between the College town of North Adams mass and the wilderness as it is the highest point of the Mohawk trail with a view of over 65 miles on a clear day. Zip lines and white water rafting on one side and the art museums on... More

We explored many leaf peeping spots over the years in all of New England. This is one of our favorite. Great place to stay. Nice rooms, good service, and a great view. 100 miles until you cant see anymore. Beautiful.

Our zip lining tour started from the moment we looked outside of our room window. What we saw was breath taking vistas glowing in the morning sun. Perfect location to get to all the excitements that Mohawk Trail has to offer. A very friendly host offered us lovely breakfast and beaming smile.

I took a group of 6 guys to go rafting and zip lining. By my observation, this is the best place in the area for lodging because it's clean and near everything (Zoar, downtown, skiing, etc). This is a really well-kept secret, but I'm certain they'll be getting more attention as they wrap up renovations. Jim and Margo are really... More

If you are taking a fly-drive holiday that includes the Mohawk Trail then stopping at the Whitcomb is a must. We spent an afternoon in Williamstown before looking for a place to stay near the start of the trail and luckily came across the retreat. Great view of the sun rise in the morning, a very friendly owner (no breakfast... More

My husband and I stayed at Whitcomb Summit Retreat for the Columbus day weekend 2013. We chose the hotel because the pictures on their website showed the view from the location and the fact that it is on the Mohawk Trail (great for fall foliage). It did not disappoint! The view is incredible from every room. You can watch the... More
