I cannot say enough good about the Palmetto Guest House. Mark met us at the airport and Terrie introduced us to our room and all the amenities at the Palmetto. We instantly felt that we were the guests of friends. We travel a great deal - mainly on the small Greek islands, France and Italy - so we appreciated Palmetto's... more

First let me talk about getting to Culebra from Fajardo. I highly recommend to take a plane which is $35 one way and takes 10-15 mins. I originally was going to take a ferry. As suggested by many sites I arrived an hour early to find the line very long for a weekday. The line was about 200ft long. Just... more

My fiance and i wanted to visit Flamenco beach so we researched places to stay in Culebra. I came across the Palmetto Guesthouse on TripAdvisor. I read so many positive reviews that I decided to book. It met all our expectations. The owners, Mark and Terrie are super friendly and very hospitable. Terrie provided transportation to and from the ferry.... more

I just returned from my 5th stay at Palmetto Guesthouse. As if Culebra isn’t relaxing enough, Palmetto adds to the experience and has become my second home. The facilities are immaculate and the rooms are well equipped. There is a lovely outdoor seating area in their tropical garden and all the complimentary beach/snorkeling amenities you could ever hope for. The... more

My spouse and I traveled to Culebra with two other friends and had a wonderful stay at the Palmetto. Terrie and Mark were terrific and thoughtful hosts. They made great recommendations for restaurants, beaches, transportation, etc. And they were often willing to give us a ride into town. Only fly in the ointment was the noise that came from the... more

Our stay at Palmetto Guest House exceeded our expectations. Mark and Terri are wonderful people, excellent hosts and work tirelessly to make you feel at home. Their guest house is exceptionally clean and neat. It is conveniently located about a ½ mile from downtown and a 20-25 minute walk to Flamenco Beach. They will eagerly answer any questions about traveling... more

My husband and I chose the Palmetto after looking at the pictures on their website and it was even nicer in real life! Terrie picked us up at the ferry and then while we were checking in, Mark loaded our bags into the room. They provided us with a map and info, about all of the resteraunts and grocery stores... more

I have just returned from Palmetto and Mark and Terrie have a class act guesthouse. I will be staying there next time I visit Culebra. They are very helpful with suggestions and tips. The place has a great feel to it & very clean. The location is almost ideal if you want to walk to town, just about a mile.... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Palmetto for five nights and we really enjoyed our stay. We had read a lot of reviews before coming, so we knew exactly what to expect (and we were not disappointed!). The Palmetto is definitely not the place for people who expect or enjoy five-star resorts. It is more low-key and rustic, and... more

The owners, Terrie and Mark, could not be more accommodating and friendly. Their set-up works pretty well the way it's laid out; the two kitchenettes and other common areas are nice features. It also matches the casual aesthetic of the island very well. The only minor drawback is it's a 10 minute walk to town, but rental bikes solve that... more
