This was a return visit to Posada La Hamaca. My cousin and I had a wonderful time. The room was large and comfortable. The location is within walking distance of the ferry dock, and steps away from great restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful. It certainly isn't posh, but it is a good value. I would stay again and... more

August 11-13, 2009. I traveled with my 7 yr old and twin 5 yr-olds. We stayed in Room 5, upstairs street view--there were none available with canal view. Don't plan to sleep past 7:30am since trucks start moving on the island pretty early (this would be the same anywhere in downtown Dewey). August is the slow season so we ate... more

We've been to Culebra 4x now and the Posada la Hamaca is our hands-down destination. Clean rooms, attentive staff - the proprietor, Adam, is invested in his property and it shows. The location is central and the patio area on the canal is perfect for coffee & pasty from Pandeli in the morning or a great place to eat a... more

We stayed at posada la hamaca this summer, for Culebra standers it was great. I have stayed in villa fulladoza an tamarindo estate before and we really liked Posada La Hamaca, its in town closed to everything . We rented a car and went to Carlos Rosario Beach and Flamenco both beaches were great. We ate shark pinchos at Flamenco... more

The hotel is located in town and is well maintained, clean and pleasant. The outdoor terrace by a canal is a nice respite from the street. I will say that if you want to be close to what goes for nightlife on a very quiet and laid back island, this is a good place. Mamacita's, the tourist "hot" spot is... more

We were 4 young professionals on vacation for leisure and we found Posada La Hamaca to be great. The location was perfect, within close proximity to town, the ferry, pan deli and right next door to Mamacita's which had great night time entertainment. The best part of Posada La Hamaca was the patio along tha canal. With ample space to... more

We were looking for a clean, affordable place to stay in Culebra that was close to all Dewey had to offer and this fit the bill perfectly. It is close to the ferry dock. We walked, with our luggage, in less than 5 minutes. Everything Dewey has to offer is within easy walking distance, including a bakery which is a... more

Found this place online, saw some good reviews so went ahead and booked it. Hotel is located in the main town of the Culebra island and fairly easy to get to. it's a small island anyway and pretty hard to get lost there. This guest house offers nothing more than a small, clean place to stay for budget travelers so... more

We went to Culebra with a group of teenagers and we stayed in their biggest room. It was very comfortable and had great space. The balcony had access to their deck which was perfect for teenagers and adults hanging out. Their live music next door, great for partying. The location was stupendous, it was in the center of everything.... gift... more
