Tamarindo Estate Beach Cottages are located on the more quiet end of the island, just up the hill from Tamarindo Beach. The location is excellent, with beautiful views and the highlight is being close by the beach where you can swim with the turtles every morning. What a memorable experience for my kids. It is also not far from Flamenco... More

This place is great if your looking for some quite and relaxation. If you are looking to party stay elsewhere. It is on the far side of the island from the ferry so the night sky is beautiful.as is the sun set. I would definitely look into renting a jeep or golf cart. Since "town" is about 7 minute drive... first things first, Culebra is absolutely beautiful. As several people have mentioned it is not extremely developed but its beaches compensates for that. My husband and i travelled to PR for our honeymoon and stayed at Tamarindo for 3 nights. We rented a jeep, which we think is essential if you want to go around the island, since Tamarindo is... To say that Culebra is the jewel of the Caribbean is an understatement. Arriving by ferry from Fajardo, we were met by the hotel with a great deal of help. They took us to Carlos Jeep rental and waited for us so we would not get lost. The road to Tamarindo was quite interesting, kind of like the road to... More

Just returned from 4 nights here and loved it. We go to Culebra for its beaches, snorkeling and laid back vibe. Tamarindo Estates cottages are perfect fit for the island's charms. The efficiencies have everything you need - clean bed and bath, kitchen and cookware, outdoor patio with unbeatable views. We were mostly car free, though people usually rent jeeps,... More

We had been to Tamarindo Beach before so were prepared for the horrid road. The estates are secluded and well maintained. They are older and have rustic charm. We understood about the hot water situation but I agree with another reviewer that it is strange to be washing dishes in cold water. The view from the balcony made me forget... More

My wife and I, along with another couple REALLY enjoyed our stay at Tamarindo Estates. The rooms are rustic, yes, a bit dated and not an extensive supply of kitchenette supplies, but more than enough if you don't arrive expecting 5-star. A/C in the bedroom is great, shower adequate hot water, weak spray. Great porch for ocean and sunset views.... More

It does have a beautiful location on the water, however, there are a few issues and pieces of information that can help the next person. First, was the web site which wouldn't work so we paid an additional $20/night because we had to use Booking.com. Go direct. It is not inconveniently located all things considered but the road to the... More

We wonder why the guest could not book on the Tamarindo Estates Official Web Site, like most other guests do. We have a top notch booking engine, where you get the best rental deal, and may instantly book and secure an apartment; and for the guest’s privacy, we would not even need to know his credit card number because the... The location is just great. Beautiful view, private beach with very nice snorkeling opportunities. A quiet side of the island somehow protected from the wind. Playa Flamenco nearby. Then you get to talk of the accommodation... and everything goes wrong! Old, run down furniture desperately in need of replacement (we uploaded a picture of the shower and one of the... More

The pictures posted by this guest show the beautiful view, and they speak of the great snorkeling at the reef in front of Tamarindo Estates. This is why people come here. Seasoned travelers do their homework before going to remote locations and know what to expect. Culebra is a desert island in the Caribbean Sea. People, for the most part,... More

Tamarindo has a fantastic location for beach-goers and snorkelers. You can snorkel at the small on-property beach and see more than just about anywhere in the Caribbean. For the more adventurous, you can walk along the shore until you get to Carlos Rosario beach and enjoy the BEST snorkeling in the Caribbean. Tamarindo is not a luxury resort. It won't... More
