I went on a trip to Cuba over the Christmas break because I wanted to get away from the stress of finals and from the harsh Canadian cold. Playa Coco satisfied both, but only by default (due to the fact it was located in Cuba). I am a big foodie, and I'm not too keen on Cuban food, but I... More

This hotel once again made our vacation perfect. Everything was perfect, same as the first time we have been here. I would say this second time was even better. Thank you Yalily, George (Hakuna Matata), Diamelys and El Capitano from the Italian retsuarant and all the others. For the next visitors to the hotel go here with an open heart,... More

Playa Coco is a fun resort for the family. The restaurants are good with lots of variety and there is a lot of fun activities to enjoy day and night. The beach is the best highlight of the resort, pristine and calm turquoise waters with white powdery sand. I love that there are wild horses on the island as well,... More

My husband and I were looking forward to a nice, quiet, affordable getaway, and had always wanted to visit Cuba. Friends recommended Cayo Coco, and we were not disappointed in the least. The staff at the Hotel Playa Coco were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and everything worked just fine (A/C, fridge, tv, room safe, shower, toilet,... More

Stayed at Hotel Playa Coco from Aug. 1-15. From check in to check out everything was good. A true four star. Staff was professional and friendly even the front desk where most hotels lack in. Room was clean and up to date. Food was the best I've had in Cuba. Beach is top notch. First time travelling to Caribean in... More

Keeping this simple - excellent beach with beginner snorkeling, slightly above average food (we were happy as this is Cuba), had a problem with our room and the front desk changed within hours (in fact to a better room), majority of staff very nice if treated with respect, short ride (10 minutes?) to the airport, nice nightly entertainment, nice avg... The beach was perfect for the family: great variety of fish for snokeling so close and safe for small children. The rest of the beach is turquoise as a postcard! We found the food very good for the price and we really enjoyed the Japanese restaurant! The only negative side was that there are mosquitos at night in August, but... More

I have been to Cuba many times and know what to expect but this was by far the worst hotel ever. I feel obligated to share my experiences. Rooms are awful holes in sheets, lumpy pillows. Dead mosquito on walls. Toilet did not flush ,fridge broken air conditioning not cold enough. My bathroom ceiling had water leaking from room upstairs... More

Staff was great, beach was incredible! Hotel was clean but needed renovations... Fod was ordinary, not much diversity... Ice cream bar was a hit with the children, and me!!! Don't forget bug repellant as in summer, there are lot of moskitos, therefore a lot of moskito bites!!!

I also travelled to Hotel Playa Coco from July 19-26/14. I paid over $1,000 for ONE person for a one week trip for this 4 Star rated hotel. 4 Star it is not! After looking at several possible hotels I choose this one based on trip advisors reviews and the Hotels website descriptions. I have traveled to Cuba many times... More
