We were in Cayo Coco last March and couldn't wait to return. We tried the Colonial Hotel this time, December 7 to 14. True, it's 23 years old, but workmen were everywhere to spruce it up for the coming high season. Many "habitations" were being painted, guard rails and stairs were being changed, bridges were being painted also, the reception... More

I spent 3 days here with my wife to relax after going around cuba. This resort is one of the all inclusive present on the cayo coco island reachable from the mainland via a 50km road. To have assess to the island with your car you need to pay a 2 CUC toll fee. Positives: - resort has a good... More

Stayed at the Colonial Nov 4-11. This is a great old hotel with lots of character. There is lots of construction work going on now, might i add that none of it was visible without looking for it. There was railing being replaced in many buildings, The salt water pool was empty and being redone, the swim up bar was open.Also... More

October 18th – 25th 2014 We really lucked in at the Cayo Coco airport, our luggage was first off of the belt so we decided to take a taxi, the cost is 15 CUC’s, our cab driver accepted $20 CDN. Walking into Hotel Colonial was like walking through a time warp into a different era, it is set up with... More
