Thomas Cooks Premium Economy is a joke, the cabin crew are great and make up for the companies short comings. Melia Cayo Coco is a great place to relax and enjoy yourselves without the harrassment of children. We have just returned after 14 days of constant 30 degree sunshine, good food, great staff, and absolutely great fellow guests who we... more

You can't go wrong with this hotel. The beach is perfect; white sand, turquoise waters, uncrowded, plenty of lounge chairs. The resort is nicely landscaped and quiet. Perhaps the only downside could possibly be that quiet. There are lots of older couples here, so the nightlife is limited. But if you're looking for a relaxing holiday, without hyped-up staff on... more

We are travelling in January 2010 and had become a bit concerned by the earlier negative reviews. We are now really looking forward to our holiday ! We unfortunately couldn't get a lagoon room, but I have emailed them in the hope of an upgrade if anyone cancels! Glad you all enjoyed - I'm sure I'll be able to write... more

Totally agree with Paul and Carrie - you couldnt fault this hotel one bit! The service in all restaurants and bars was amazing and always with a smile and conversation pleasant - no matter what time of day (or night!). The Thomas Cook rep at the hotel- Norma - was superb and ever so friendly and helpful. Our lagoon room... more

We have just returned from the most amazing two weeks at the Melia Cayo Coco. I really think that people who have written negative remarks about this hotel must have been staying somewhere else. The staff are the most helpful and pleasant people we have ever met. Whatever you needed, at any time, they were always there to help... from... more

Since I have arrived home I have come to realise that a little bit of me is still in the melia cayo coco. The food and people were excellent, the rooms were very comfortable and the beds, well what can you say about the beds, they were enormous and very comfortable. All I can say is for the management to... more

Just got back from two great weeks here, which we thoroughly enjoyed. I'll try to be as honest as possible. The food was great - my advice for lunch is forget the main resturants and seek out the gem which is the beach grill. Charles the BBQ chef will cook you fresh caught fish over the BBQ - delicious. Our... more
