We had an extended stay in Gros Morne, 9 days in all, and we stayed at Neddies for the whole time. This was one of those trips where my wife & I were both kind of burned-out from our jobs and just wanted a place where we could just relax and recharge the batteries. Neddies filled that need in every... More

Thank you so much for your in-depth review. I'm glad you touched on the design / style issue. It is indeed very difficult to discuss these things publicly because they depend so much on peoples personal taste. But like you, the vast majority of our guest do compliment our design team. More

After reviewing several possible accommodations available in the area we chose Neddie's Harbour Inn based on reviews from travellers who left comments on trip advisor. On arrival on September 07, 2011, our party of 4 were met by a very friendly staff member . She suggested we may want to consider dinner reservations as space was limited. We decided to... More

Thank you so much for your review, I am so happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. I too am disappointed that you did not have a good experience at breakfast. Your comments are important as they help us to improve. We will certainly look into ways to ensure that the hot dishes on our buffet stay hot.... More

staying in an Ikea showroom. Whilst the staff are very helpful and welcoming, this accommodation lacks atmosphere and character. Its too clinical. We managed to book an evening meal and had to stand waiting for a good 5 minutes whilst the only waitress set our table. Not a good start to the evening. The meal was very nice but we... More

I'm sorry that Neddies Harbour Inn couldn't meet your expectations and many thanks for the compliments to our staff. Without going in to a discussion over taste or design of furniture or tableware I would like to mention that yes there is one piece of IKEA furniture in each of our rooms which is the award winning Poeng chair. Every... More

At first glance, squeaky clean and modern. In practice, no local character and charm. Our room on the first floor was half below ground with no view. The noise transfer from the room above was intolerable and inexcusable. The controls for the bath and the wall mounted soap dispenser cannot be reached from the tub. In all, a letdown. More

Accomodations are like in Switzerland. Very clean with all of amenities you would expect in this price range. Swiss, now Canadian, owners. The dinners are the best we have found on the Western side of the island. Did not go East so cannot comment there. Setting is stunning. The only thing that was not just right was the accomodation's temperature... More

We booked a night at Neddie's Harbour Inn based on the reviews of TripAdvisor, we were definitely happy with our choice. We were greeted at the entrance by one of the owners, and pride of ownership definitely showed in the care and warmness that she demonstrated. We did not have dinner reservations and she inquired and got us a table... More

We came across Neddies Harbour Inn online when looking for somewhere to stay in Gros Morne National Park - and we are glad we did, it provided a home from home for us to rest and relax in the wonderful surroundings of Boone Bay. We were lucky in having booked Room 108 - Shag Cove (I guess shag doesn't have... More

Thank you very much for your detailed review. I will gladly forward your compliments to our great staff. Shag is the Newfoundland expression for the Cormorant and therefore Shag Cliff is the cliff where the Cormorants would sit to dry their wings. More

We rented Monty's Shorescape, one of three cottages available through Neddies Harbour Inn and it was spectacluar. The cottage is located on a bluff in Gros Morne National Park and has one of the most spectacular views I have seen in Canada. Cliffs, mountains, ocean and the Tablelands all in one sweeping glance. The cottage is modern with three bedrooms,... More
