Vacationed in Newfoundland. Thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Sugar Hill Inn in Norris Point. Overall excellence (see 'style' and 'amenities'), combined with thoughtful, noticeable attention to detail (examples: serving almond butter at breakfast, using 18/10 flatware, beautiful appointments (lighting fixtures, glassware, duvet)). The people I met working at the inn throughout my visit were always happy to see me, an... more

My spouse, five year old son and I stayed at Sugar Hill Inn for three nights during the second week of August. The hotel has a great location in Gross Mourne National Park, although it would have been nice to be by the sea. We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. Rooms were spacious and nicely decorated... more

Just like the other post mentioned, this hotel is a disappointment and would not recommend to stay here ever! Very disappointing, we most likely got the same type of room as the other guest/post had mentioned..... room with the 2 beds. A total dump and a pit hole. Just horrible, bad smells, small uncomfortable beds, ugly/dark/dated/bleak decor, small dated bathroom... more

My husband and I have been planning a trip to Gros Morne for several years. It was our first trip in the 21 years we've been married and we wanted to make it special and feel a bit pampered. Accommodations form the anchor for one’s trip - A place to start and end your day. When the accommodations are uncomfortable... more

The Sugar Hill Inn is a spectacular little Inn. The room (suite #2) we had was huge and beautiful. It had a sitting area with a couch, a great bed, nice big bathroom (the tub was a little skinny so not the most comfortable to soak in), a small fridge, it had two exits (one into the Inn’s hallway, and... more

I enjoyed a gourmet dinner and wine tasting with the wines paired to each course. The main entree was local fresh halibut. Nice room with appropriate en suite bathroom facilities. Was able to open the curtain on the skylight and watch the stars as I drifted off to sleep. Hot tub down the hall but no noise in my room.... more

This is the perfect B&B. It is charming, well-appointed, extremely clean, and the proprietor is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, and quite nice. The rooms are large and comfortable, and you are a few minutes from good restaurants and the attractions of Gros Morne National Park. This is a great "jumping off" point for all the tourist attractions and a... more

We stayed at Sugar Hill Inn after reading good reviews on this website but we found our stay disappointing. On arrival, the first area guests see is the very clinical, unattended reception area which requires guests to 'call for assistance' to check in. Considering the size of the inn, we expected a warmer, more personable welcome, but it felt very... more

Stayed at the Sugar Hill Inn for three nights and was very pleased with all aspects of the establishment. They have recently added on to the building but there weren't any obvious signs of building works. We stayed in the older part of the hotel and although some of the decor or colour scheme is slightly dated, the hotel was... more
