We stayed in Anchor Inn during our road trip across Newfoundland. It is situated at an excellent place - specially if you want to drive up to the cove to see ice bergs. Rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Service was good except at the restaurant. We had to wait 20 minutes just to get place our orders. Other than... More

We stayed at the Anchor Inn for 3 nights. Our room was very spacious, clean, comfortable beds and an amazing view. We would definitely stay again. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Twillingate is a wonderful place to visit. The dining room was closed when we were there but was going to open in a few weeks. Heard ️Allot of... More

This is a friendly modern hotel. We arrived after a long drive in foul weather. We were there off season so there was no evening food and the breakfast was a disappointing cold breakfast box. The room was fresh and comfortable and quiet. There is very little choice re food in the evening and as in all this part of... More

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased to have provided a warm comfortable spot away from foul weather! As a destination Twillingate is working together to improve the shoulder season and off-season experience. Many operators, including the Anchor Inn Hotel, are extending hours and services each year beyond the core tourism season that falls within May to September. More

I travel quite a bit for work, but had never experienced this. I booked two rooms for one night of company travel with this hotel on my personal credit card . Unfortunately our travel plans were cancelled so I phoned back the next day to cancel the reservations only to be told that since this was within 48hrs of the... More

Enjoyed our stay here. The sunrise over the harbour was so beautiful. (see attached). Hotel was right on the water and there were lawn chairs out on the lawn to sit and enjoy the view. Girls at the desk were very helpful suggesting places to see and things to do. We were told about a shed/garage party but we didn't... More

The rooms were very clean and beautiful. Very friendly staff. The food is to die for. We had one of the best times in a long while at the captains pub, with some of the funniest entertainment we have ever seen. The bar staff and front desk staff made us feel so welcomed. Was only going to stay for one... More

Anchor Inn was absolutely beautiful. Can not wait to go back to this incredible Inn. I had the most Specular view watching the sun set and rise over the harbour was breathtaking. I loved that it was right on the water. I would absolutely recommend everyone visit this fantastic inn in Twillingate

While in Twillingate, we visited the Anchor Inn, while there they had a Newfie 101 skit that was very funny and involved the audience. We also had the best shrimp while watching the show. Definitely worth a visit.

Louise, thank you or your review. In 2015 Beyond the Overpass Theatre will be back at Captain's Pub with summer shows most nights of the week. Glad you enjoyed "How to Be a Newfoundlander"! More

Our first taste of Newfoundland was 2 nights at the Anchor Inn to start our 2 week vacation. Having flown in to St John's and driven the long, arduous drive we really didn't know what to expect. Our Oceanside Room was large, spotlessly clean with the most comfortable bed. I would have slept on a bed of nails, but the... More

We were disappointed that we couldn't open the windows. The room was hot and the only option was putting on the noisy ineffective fan. However, the room was very clean and the staff were friendly. We had a wonderful dinner in the dining room, however breakfast was quite meagre - no yogurt or granola - only packaged cheap cereals, lacklustre... More

Thank you for your feedback. In the low season a basic continental breakfast is complimentary and we value your suggestions for other menu options. Rooms in the main hotel are air-conditioned and we encourage our guests to avail of our outdoor deck spaces to enjoy the fresh ocean air. More
