My first time in Tiree and have to say the reception was anything but warm. After we'd been given our room keys we were asked if we'd been there before and when we said we hadn't we were told that if we couldn't find our rooms we had to come back to reception and we'd be shown them. Not the... More

The hotel offers a basic bar menu, fish and chips, burgers, soup, sandwiches, toasties but on enquiring about gluten free options they were very obliging and offered a few choices not on the menu. The food was freshly cooked and of very high standard, we couldn't find fault. The staff were friendly and helpful, the view from the window is... More

We dined here as non-residents. The food is fresh and delicious, the menu varied, the service good, the wine list interesting and varied. The outside of the hotel is a bit run-down, no doubt because the winter weather on Tiree is somewhat harsh on building exteriors. But don't be put off - inside it met or exceeded expectations in every... More

Ate in the hotel for lunch after I arrived to meet friends in Tiree. The food was just delicious - all fresh and made to order. Each plate was served beautifully on different plates to suit the dish. Excellent portions and very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and had a wee chat with us as well. Met the owner... More

We had a very comfortable and spacious double room with ensuite bathroom. Very comfortable bed and lovely crisp, white bedding. Room very clean as was the rest of the hotel. The best thing was the general atmosphere. Lovely relaxed dining room but we also ate in the bar which was good fun with lots of craic with the locals. Lovely... More

We must have visited the hotel on a bad day we found the meal to be of a poor quality and not really cheap, the staff we found could be more friendly and perhaps a smile now and again would help you feel welcome we would not return here again if visiting Tiree.

Visited the restaurant twice during a holiday on Tiree having both stayed at Hotel before and used for meals. Always have had good quality meals at reasonable prices. Excellent portions with friendly service forget the negative reviews this is a good place to eat. The view over the old harbour is excellent.

The hotel is about a mile from the ferry landing, down by the old harbour which it overlooks. Access is along the road opposite the Co-Op where there is a large telecommunications mast marking the turnoff. We were on a scouting mission for somewhere to eat later that day and popped into the bar (we couldn’t see the hotel entrance... More

We had stayed once before, two years ago, and had no hesitation in booking again for two nights on this trip. This time, the hotel felt less tired as the windows had all been renewed/double-glazed which much improved the appearance. A nice room, wonderful views from a peaceful lounge, and idealy situated for the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay... More

I initially read very bad reviews about this place and expected to find a disaster of an hotel. Turns out its not at all a disaster except for the food it serves. Rooms are spacious, well done and very comfortable. The hotel staff is friendly and warm. The food if done well will make this place a very good one... More
