Stayed two nights as business traveler.Don't expect 5 star accommodation but it is very clean with electric radiators and showers. Food is first class and the crack in the bar is fab.Staff are, as you would expect from Islanders very friendly The CO-OP and Bank are nearby and its a few minutes from the ferry terminal. If you visit the... More

Visited there twice for coffee and shortbread (with seaweed; yummy) and even though I was the only customer at the time, service was friendly and good. They even served me before they were truly open. Sat up on the deck the second time, with great views.

This hotel is not a modern five star city hotel, but it is not advertised as one either! It is a lovely rustic hotel with fabulous harbour views! As soon as you step onto Tiree its a bit like stepping back in time, the pace of life is slow, technology is minimal including moblie phone signals, WiFi etc. Tiree is... More

I Recently stayed In the Scarinish hotel on the Isle of Tiree for 3 nights and found It an experience to say the least!! The hotel stands slightly elevated overlooking the old harbor which Is final resting place for the Schooner Mary Stewart and has superb views over the bay. My arrival went something like this.. ME.. A group of us ate here on Saturday evening but the delay on the meal was an hour without an explanation as to what the hold up was. They seemed thin on the ground on staffing and missed several opportunities to take further drink orders from us. The food was good when it finally arrived but a little overpriced £14... More

Just spent a couple of nights on Tiree for the first time in 30 yrs and was not sure what to expect - overall very pleasantly impressed. The food was excellent - langoustines, lobster linguine and venison. Couldn't ask for much better than that. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was good value (though the wee... My first time in Tiree and have to say the reception was anything but warm. After we'd been given our room keys we were asked if we'd been there before and when we said we hadn't we were told that if we couldn't find our rooms we had to come back to reception and we'd be shown them. Not the... More

The hotel offers a basic bar menu, fish and chips, burgers, soup, sandwiches, toasties but on enquiring about gluten free options they were very obliging and offered a few choices not on the menu. The food was freshly cooked and of very high standard, we couldn't find fault. The staff were friendly and helpful, the view from the window is... More

We dined here as non-residents. The food is fresh and delicious, the menu varied, the service good, the wine list interesting and varied. The outside of the hotel is a bit run-down, no doubt because the winter weather on Tiree is somewhat harsh on building exteriors. But don't be put off - inside it met or exceeded expectations in every... More

Ate in the hotel for lunch after I arrived to meet friends in Tiree. The food was just delicious - all fresh and made to order. Each plate was served beautifully on different plates to suit the dish. Excellent portions and very reasonable prices. Staff were very friendly and had a wee chat with us as well. Met the owner... More
