4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had stayed once before, two years ago, and had no hesitation in booking again for two nights on this trip. This time, the hotel felt less tired as the windows had all been renewed/double-glazed which much improved the appearance. A nice room, wonderful views from a peaceful lounge, and idealy situated for the island. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay... More

I initially read very bad reviews about this place and expected to find a disaster of an hotel. Turns out its not at all a disaster except for the food it serves. Rooms are spacious, well done and very comfortable. The hotel staff is friendly and warm. The food if done well will make this place a very good one... More

Didnt stay here but came here for lunch on a 3 day visit to the Island. Although there aren't many eating places to choose from I do wish I'd given this one a miss. The food was average, just, and the waitress shouldn't have chosen a career in anything customer related. She clearly didn't want to be there and whilst... More

Scarinish Hotel, on the seemingly remote Hebridean island of Tiree, is an oasis on this quiet windswept island, reached by a a four-hour ferry from Oban on Argyll's west coast. Nothing fancy, just great food and comfortable surroundings. A small bar with good wine and ales,n a restaurant overlooking the secluded harbour, and an upstairs lounge with a lovely view... More

My Husband and I have spent the previous two weeks travelling around the Islands on business, we found ourselves at this hotel as there was really very little to choose from on the Isle at such short notice, boy do I wish I'd checked the reviews prior to booking, but with time very much of the essence I didn't and... I stayed here with my partner in July for 3 nights and we had a wonderful time! We ate in the restaurant twice and the food was outstanding and HUGE portions. Yes, the rooms aren't modern and maybe some need a bit of work, but ours looked out over the harbour, had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable.... More

Had a lovely 3 nights in this hotel. I am not at all fond of soul-less cookie cutter urban chain motels and this is certainly not one of those. The room was very adequate; clean, simple, comfy. The hotel staff were generous, friendly, accommodating and personable. The building had "character" - a commodity in short supply in most hotels. Loved... More
