I wasnt resident but just enjoyed the chilled atmosphere, morning coffees and evening meal there. Ken is a great host! They also sell some excellent local gifts/artifacts. Thanks for a wonderful time...

I had a single room which was spacious and well appointed. The hotel is clean and tidy with friendly staff. I spent two nights here and felt at home very quickly. The full scottish breakfast was enormous and kept me going until the evening meal. The dinner menu was not overly adventurous, but was ok. All in all, a pleasant... More

The only negative we had in our night at Gigha hotel was that shower was terrible, very difficult to get to correct temperature and very very low pressure, but apart from that room huge, bathroom huge, very comfortable. Wifi not available in rooms but downstairs fine. Dinner was lovely, very very well cooked and great menu, breakfast again excellent with... More

Good accommodation, well maintained and clean with great views. The hotel staff that look after it are friendly and attentive. Only gripe, which is very very small, is that the kitchen in the Stable could do with a few more basics like a proper sharp knife and a colander

Just back from a five-night holiday at Gigha Hotel. I have stayed here many times over many years and this has to be THE best! The new management team has already made a big difference. Given time, it looks as if they could really turn things around! I chose to eat in the hotel restaurant every night - and a... More

Enjoyed my stay , the staff very obliging . Breakfast would be dull without Fiona HENDERSON . Rooms dated but comfortable . Food in restaurant and bar meals satisfying and well presented . Great spot to catch up with the locals .

So agree with a previous reviewer, manager sitting at computer ignoring everyone, certainly not mien host! When enquiring about wifi told 'not working take it up with bt!" In a very rude manner. He is not an asset to the hotel. Think I had the same bed as previous reviewer , past it, could feel all springs very uncomfortable. Room... More

Hotel is under new management since the start of this season, and it is clear that Ken Deakin is determined to make a difference. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a very enjoyable time on the island and a comfortable toom with splendid views. Achamore Gardens are well worth a visit. The rest of the island can be easily... More

Gigha Hotel is in a great location but having just recently been acquired by new owners it needs to get over what are hopefully teething problems. Our room was okay but the bed was quite uncomfortable .. probably new mattresses required. Chap in reception (probably new owner) spent all his time on a computer with his back to the customers...
