Stayed for three nights at end of July. Lovely welcome. We have visited for food in past but have not stayed before. We chose the hotel as it has a number of rooms where dogs can stay. We travelled as a family and therefore had three rooms; top tip, if you don't have a dog and you are travelling alone,... More

As well as the hotel this island is well worth a visit as it is a unique experience. The 150 inhabitants bought the island at the turn of the 21st century and are making a fantastic effort to run it. Everyone including the local nurse who helped a seriously ill member of our party could not have been more obliging.... More

We stayed at the Gigha Hotel as a family of 7 for 4 nights. What sets Gigha and this community run Hotel apart from the norm is the friendliness of all the staff and local community, which was exceptional. OK the accommodation is slightly dated but it benefits from good sized rooms and great views. The quality of the food... More

Didn't know what to expect as special deal on and price reasonable. The rooms are basic but ok. Our room overlooked garden and was quite pleasant. Bar food and restaurant food good. Staff (mostly) very helpful and friendly.

We visit Gigha a lot and always go to the Hotel. With the Boathouse Cafe Bar being closed a lot we visited more and are really glad we did. We had good food from a menu which suited adults and kids. It was lovely to be made so welcome and to enjoy a few refreshments in the beer garden at... More

Lovely wee place, very friendly staff, nice food, however the inside is not very big for sitting and eating and as we had a large group we were forced to go outside and the sun was beating down, a few sun-umbrellas and this place would be brilliant. I'm not sure if there is separate dinning for people who have a... More

Had 5 days at this hotel and were so well looked after. O.K. the decor is dated, but the food is excellent, great craic in the bar, and impromptu live music one night. My husband received friendly, professional health care for a longstanding ankle problem. Nothing was too much trouble. Look at supporting the Sandpiper trust- a charity which supports... More

Had a very brief day trip to this wonderful little island and stopped off at the Gigha Hotel for some excellent coffee and home made cake and shortbread. Bill the barman was a font of knowledge and even gave us a copy of a local guide to look at while we tucked in to our cake! (We had told him... More

We flew in to Gigha recently on a tour of the islands and Gigha was our first stop off. We arrived a but too late for dinner after admiring the scenery as we flew around the island as the sun began to set...stunning! We were welcomed with warmth and shown to our comfortable room which was a good size with... More

Had a lovely time , the hotel is very clean and comfortable , it may be a little dated , but the service and meals make up for that . The staff are all very pleasant ,friendly, and cheerful.
