Recently stayed for 2 nights as part of an island hopping trip of the Southern Hebrides. Really enjoyed our stay in The Ardminish Suite. Had lunch on Gigha with me wife and inlaws... very friendly service and nothing too much trouble, food was well prepared and we ate outside in the garden. Unfortunately my father in law lost his £150 Oakley Sunglasses on the island... but the hotel staff took his address.... a few days later a parcel arrived with his sunglassess... outstanding honesty... We stayed here while attending a small conference held at the hotel. So the hotel wasn't five-star accommodation but everything else about it was five-star. We turned up at Gigha on a whim. At the Hotel the staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. It truly was a delight to be in an establishment where it was obvious that (unlike many Scottish small hotels) your custom was appreciated.
