The hotel is really clean and the staff cannot do enough for you. The island is quite, beautiful and community owned which is reflected in the pride they take in running the hotel.

Nice place to stay, food was good, just a bit rowdy late at night.
Another wonderful visit to Gigha. Back to those breathtaking views and unbeatable weather. The staff here are always friendly, welcoming and happy to help. We ate very well indeed in the hotel dining room. Delicious Isle of Gigha halibut on the menu, well prepared and delicious as ever - in spite of the fact the kitchen was working overtime to...

Recently stayed for 2 nights as part of an island hopping trip of the Southern Hebrides. Really enjoyed our stay in The Ardminish Suite. The Suite comprised bedroom, sitting room and bathroom - which was very compact - but adequate. But the best bit - the wonderful view - we just sat there drinking in the views whenever we returned...

Had lunch on Gigha with me wife and inlaws... very friendly service and nothing too much trouble, food was well prepared and we ate outside in the garden.
Unfortunately my father in law lost his £150 Oakley Sunglasses on the island... but the hotel staff took his address.... a few days later a parcel arrived with his sunglassess... outstanding honesty...

We stayed here while attending a small conference held at the hotel. So the hotel wasn't five-star accommodation but everything else about it was five-star. The people were friendly and welcoming, the room was warm and cosy and had a lovely view over the bay - in fact, the views from everywhere were simply spectacular. The facilities were just right...

With howling gales and lots of rain you'd think Hogmanay on Gigha would be a disappointment after a long drive from Nottingham, but it was great.
Fabulous food, friendly staff and welcoming locals made this a break to remember. Even better than last time we went, 2 years ago!
Bracing walks, lovely scenery and a warm well stocked bar to...

As part of our island hopping trip we stayed on the only hotel on the island. It's run by the islanders and all profits go back to the island. As we were leaving early in the morning we got a great deal of £20 for bed only. The halibut for dinner was unbelievably good.
The view was unbelevable across to...

We turned up at Gigha on a whim. At the Hotel the staff could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. It truly was a delight to be in an establishment where it was obvious that (unlike many Scottish small hotels) your custom was appreciated. Great lunch, lovely evening meal and a breakfast that even I struggled to finish....

Gigha is a secluded island retreat in Scotland less than 30 minutes ferry journey from the mainland.
Its silver coral sand gives the beaches a tropical quality as a blanket of peace lands on you melting away all the frosty dark cares of the outside world. Subtropical plants are dotted around the island with a formal garden at Achamore.
It...
