Our family of eight stayed here and in the ferry man's cottage over Hogmanay. The Byrne was beautiful, clean and well equipped. Lots of warm water and a log burning stove. Cosy and warm for our Hogmanay trip. A big thank you to hotel who allowed us to move our booking forward a day when bad weather stopped us from... More

Stayed at The Byre, part of the three "Steadings" cottages operated by the Gigha Hotel. We were three couples and found the accommodation to be excellent, first class and easily large enough for six adults. Everything about the development is new and clean even at the end of the season, the house was warm and cosy with central heating or... More

The design of the hotel works well. Central location is a bonus. Food was good (although running out of Gigha halibut was a bit odd!). Excellent breakfast. Service very friendly. Good bar with locals.

We had decided to take the ferry and enjoy a day exploring the island. Having cycled around the island, it had started to blow a gale and was raining. The very helpful lady in the village shop pointed us to the Hotel to get a snack and rest our weary limbs. We were very disappointed when we were turned away... More

Quaint hotel on a beautiful island. Friendly staff with an unbelievably lovely breakfast server who would do anything to make your meal pleasant. While I'm thinking of it the evening waitress was terrific too. The food was excellent; we stayed three nights and I had a different entree each night and all were delicious. Wi-fi only on the first floor... More

Nice hotel, community owned. We had the suite, which consists of a bedroom, a sitting room and a bathroom. Loveely view over the bay. Excellent value for money. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice bar, the only game in town, so always full and lively. Food in the restaurant is a reason in itself to visit.

We spent 3 nights in Ferry croft 2 owned by the hotel. Loved it loved it loved it. This Island is just a gorgeous hidden gem and we will be back! The croft while it was cosy enough and had everything you could need was a bit tired and I'm assuming that's because we're almost at the end of a... More

Visited this hotel and ate here twice at the beginning of August. The hotel is under new management and has recruited an excellent chef who certainly knows how to cook fish. A group of four, we each had a different fish dish and were all astounded at the quality of the meal and how inexpensive it was. Following the meal,... More
