The Isleof Gigha is a remote yet friendly place - theGigha hotel plays a central role in this through the bar and restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is run by local residents who provide anexcellent service. Rooms: were a decent size, clean and comfortable. Visited this beautiful island to view the magnificent Achamore Gardens.The Hotel which is owned by the islanders is staffed and managed by the most efficient team one could wish to know.So committed ( the advantages of the workers being the owners) and the rooms were spotless.Chef provided first class meals...the Halibut from a fish farm just off the South end... more

I stayed, with my husband, at the Gigha Hotel last June, 2008. At that time you did not have a website where we could post reviews, but we thoroughly enjoyed it. Having experienced the magical isle of Gigha on a memorable day trip last summer we jumped at the chance to return for a weekend. We did intend to return for a longer period this summer but on checking the Isle of Gigha Trust website for accomodation for later in the year we noticed a Gaelic language beginners course run in... more

Need a break from the standard hotel experience! Well you will get that here. Well managed, charming facilities, live music and a good bar meal. Excellent size room. I was well looked after by the staff and enjoyed my stay. more
