Gigha is a tiny island that has it all. Fantastic hosts Betty and Ken, friendly, informative, warm welcome with tea, scones and cakes. Superb setting - massive patio windows overlooking sea. Interesting walks - don't try short-cuts - ask Betty!. Beautiful white sand, Michelin star restaurant (The Boathouse) - fresh that morning lobster, scallops, sea-bream....Achamore Gardens fascinating. . Can't wait... More

Attending a wedding on the beautiful Island of Gigha, we had the good fortune of having to book into Springbank a day early owing to uncertainties over strong winds potentially disrupting ferry services on the day of the wedding. The accommodation is first class, a perfect example of the new breed of Bed and Breakfasts to be found throughout Scotland... More

Six of the family went on 29 May for three days and the welcome we got could not be bettered anywhere. Betty and Kenny made everyone most welcome and the home baking was ""the icing on the cake""!!!! Would recommend a visit by to Springbank.

Springbank was perfect for our family break. Using all 3 rooms, we had the lounge to ourselves, and with the exceptional service from Kenny and Betty our break couldn't have been any better. The lounge is comfortable, open and has an outstanding view to the coast. Kenny and Betty also make breakfast to meet all tastes using only the best... More

Stayed here in late April and was delighted by the kind and friendly hosts Betty and Kenny. Breakfast was a joy with potato cakes and the best black pudding we have ever tasted - Stornoway apparently. The views from the lounge across the bay to the west were lovely. The location next to Achamore gardens was perfect. Rooms were spotless... More

Betty took us into her home and made us welcome. The tea and cakes as we arrived were most needed!! The breakfast were excellent, made better for being able to watch them being cooked. We will be back.

Okay so where do I start here? My girlfriend and I decided to cycle around Arran, go to Kintyre and then spend the night on the isle of Gigha - very naively. In fact, we didn't manage to catch the last ferry that would take us to Gigha. Nonetheless we thought that by the harbor we would be able to... More

What an experience! On arriving we were met by Betty and Kenny and grandson Harris. They served us with a pot of tea and homemade cakes that were to die for!! Biscuits with tea and coffee making facilities were found in our room and replenished daily. The views from the lounge were superb and the bird life in the garden... More

Gigha is a small piece of paradise off the west coast of Scotland - a truly beautiful Tranquil Island. Betty and Kenny are fantastic hosts offering such a warm welcome to us after an 8 hour drive. We were offered tea and a lovely selection of cakes and biscuits all home made. The room was clean and cosy with an... More
