Springbank is the best B&B I ever stayed in. Betty and Kenny are the kindest of hosts and always make me feel welcome (I've stayed three times sofar). Their food is delicious, the location tranquil (near Achamore), and the rooms comfortable like home. Its an altogether perfect place for a chilled out / pampered time. Highly recommended.

Betty and Kenny at Springbank epitomise the isle of Gigha - welcoming, very friendly and a great food experience! Specifically superb home baking and splendid breakfast; excellent tips for this lovely little island (beach and walk recommendations) fantastic sunset views from the sitting room and they were massively helpful with a car problem. Nothing too much trouble, comfortable beds, good... More

we had a great couple of days away, our hosts Betty & Kenny have a lovely place. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Lovely rooms, home made biscuits are great. Gigha is a lovely small island, especially for walking or cycling. Would certainly go back again. douglas & christine

This is a top class place to stay with two wonderful hosts. The previous 34 posts are a fair reflection I am sure of a wonderful experience as a base to explore and relax on a small island just an inexpensive ferry journey from the Scottish mainland.

I can't recommend this B&B highly enough. We were given a most warm welcome, offered homemade cakes and biscuits and lovely chat over breakfast. Our twin room was modern, very clean and all tea, coffee and biscuits were replenished both days. The views from the sitting room are lovely and the house is within walking distance to the village and... More

Stayed in a lovely, clean double room. Had a very warm welcome with tea and homemade cakes on arrival! Hosts went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. Great setting with amazing views and very peaceful location. Close to beautiful gardens, approx ten minute walk to Gigha Hotel and not far from ferry terminal. Would highly recommend.

Both Kenny and Betty made us feel very welcome. Tea and home baking in the sitting room on our arrival. The house is bright, very clean and modern. The room was en-suite, warm and the bed comfortable; tea and coffee making facilities with REAL milk! Easy to locate and beautiful views out over the bay. The breakfast was varied with... More

At £36 per night for the 2 of us including a great breakfast is a real steal.Betty welcomed us with tea/coffee and cakes etc.It took a lot of self control to stop us gorging and thereby spoiling our dinner. We were given a nice bedroom and bathroom .Betty was very helpful in advising us on walks and other island activities. She... More

Gigha is a tiny island that has it all. Fantastic hosts Betty and Ken, friendly, informative, warm welcome with tea, scones and cakes. Superb setting - massive patio windows overlooking sea. Interesting walks - don't try short-cuts - ask Betty!. Beautiful white sand, Michelin star restaurant (The Boathouse) - fresh that morning lobster, scallops, sea-bream....Achamore Gardens fascinating. . Can't wait... More

Attending a wedding on the beautiful Island of Gigha, we had the good fortune of having to book into Springbank a day early owing to uncertainties over strong winds potentially disrupting ferry services on the day of the wedding. The accommodation is first class, a perfect example of the new breed of Bed and Breakfasts to be found throughout Scotland... More
