My husband and I booked bed and breakfast for three nights when we were visiting relatives. The hotel is very tired and as well as a facelift could do with a good clean. Our room was barely adequate and clean enough. Our breakfast, however, was abominable. On the first morning we were informed that 4members of staff including the chefs... More

Great staff, friendly, helpfull, nice to the kids. Our room was huge, clean, tidy and could not fault it (it could be a quad room rather than a triple). Narrow stairs and corridor to get to the room, ut no major hardship. The other guys in our party had a ground floor family room...so if stairs a problem...ask for the... More

We were probably unlucky as scaffolding adorned the front of the property and parking was very hit or miss. Our room was large, clean & comfortable albeit many stairs to negotiate. Most of the staff seemed jaded probably after a hectic Christmas. The food was second rate.

I have stopped here on several occasions whilst working in Woking. Good Points You can park your car here, the food is good value and the real ales are also good Bad Points The interior is a bit shabby; a lick of paint might help. The accommodation is poorly constructed with creaky floorboards and poor levels of noise insulation.

We stayed there during 4 nights in September 2013. On arrival, we had to pay for the full stay. When ordering a drink or food, you also have to pay beforehand. The pub itself has a pleasant atmosphere. The guest rooms are quite small, but very clean. The double beds are definitely small, too small. Only one open cupboard, with... More

We stayed here for a night before a visit to McLaren and it had everything we needed for a reasonable price. The room was ok, only downside was lack of coooling other than a portable fan, but it was exceptionally warm. Meals were OK in the attached pub, though slightly over-priced, a few items not well-stocked for breakfast and clearly... More

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times and always found it a pleasant place, with great value for money. First let me iterate the good points. The housekeeping is excellent, (better than many many other places I have been). The housekeeper is so anxious to please and really does well. Rooms are spotless and well appointed. The staff (... The hotel is basic but it's in a good location. It's within walking distance to the town and there is a good selection of shops to browse. I stayed here for one night only on my way to shoot at Bisley camp which is only few miles away. The room is basic but can't complain as I came here to... More

We only stayed a couple of nights but found that was enough. This B&B is more suitable to workmen just wanting a place to eat and sleep. We where in an upstairs room towards the back of the property. The room was far too hot even with the weather being average, and the window only opens a fraction. An electric... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
If you're looking for a hotel in Woking with a great central location, this comfy 34-bedroom lodge is perfect. Just a short walk from Woking station, it's an ideal base whether you're sightseeing in Surrey or attending the H.G. Wells Conference and Event Centre for business.Whatever your travel plans, it's nice to know that there's a cosy real-ale pub* right next door, where you can put your feet up with a pint of expertly kept cask-ale and some traditional, seasonally inspired food.Woking is a bustling town close to Horsell, Chobham and Sheerwater. Nestled in the heart of leafy Surrey, it was a favourite country residence of the Tudors, although certainly for science-fiction fans it's most famous for the "Martians invasion" in H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds.Nearby you can explore two majestic 18th century mansions, Clandon Park and Hatchlands Park, inspect the vintage cars and planes at the Brooklands Museum or take the family to Chessington World of Adventure. ... more   less
