We hired two double rooms in May 2013 for 150per room per night, using booking.com. We noticed that although the Grasshopper has many helpful and friendly members of staff, their roles seem to be indeterminate. At times they seemed to be tripping over each other to complete a task, while other tasks were left incomplete. The staff are mainly focused... More

We had our wedding at the Grasshopper Inn in March this year and we the most fabulous time! Obviously it is a complicated thing to pull together and all I can say is that it ran like clockwork. The attention to detail was just so good - the flowers were amazing and the food was done beautifully. What got me... More

I visited this venue over the weekend. It was a last minute visit as we were in the area to have a look at two other venues. The wedding organiser was very friendly and was happy to squeeze us in later. When we arrived we thought the venue was nice but were hoping it would have more grounds (although the... More

We Stayed here for my husband's Christmas work 'do'. I was not expecting it to be such a lovely venue and was glad that i had arrived really early and was able to spend some time in the room . The hotel is an amazing Tudor building and the rooms are lovely - they are all named after Henry VIII... More

Booked King Henry honeymoon suite for my husbands 40th birthday, the room was lovely, worth the money, staff were friendly, the only negative was the noise at night from the road and delivery men at 8am were noisy, the hotel is beautiful, would definitely return.

An excellent overnight stay in the stylish Inn. The bar service, waitress service, food and bedroom was everything I could have wished for from this Inn. I would stay here in the future and would always recommend the food.

We just celebrated my daughter's wedding at The Grasshopper and have nothing but praise for our special day. It was perfect. bearing in mind that the weather was horrible, freezing cold and snow at the end of March. Despite this, the venue carried their hospitality into the following day, where family and friends explored and enjoyed the beautiful Tudor architecture... More

We got married at the Grasshopper last September and if it hadn't been for our Best Man taking charge it would have been a complete shambles. We paid them thousands of pounds for our day and they did not even have the basic manners to respond to my email of complaint after our wedding. Do not give them any more... More

We stayed in a family room (in the main part of the hotel rather than an outbuilding) and thought it was brilliant. The kids had their own separate room attached to ours, complete with bunk beds and a travel cot, which meant that we could sit up comfortably after they went to bed. The staff were lovely, offering to bring... More

We recently tried to hire the Grasshopper for our wedding party, but eventually had to give up on the idea. While we liked the venue, we had a very unpleasant customer experience tryng to organise the day. It turned us completely off the place. We felt at no time that we were being listened to, and there was a distinct... More

The Management at the Grasshopper realizes that every event is different but we take great effort in listening to what our parties want and need. There are times whereby a budget constraint will not allow us to effectively produce the event a party would like and because of that the booking needs to be re-evaluated. We are sorry that the...
