Stayed here for a week in March 2009 due to business. I had a executive smoking room. has to be one of the smallest exc rooms i've stayed inn even for a holiday inn. but it was clean and comfy. including sofa, desk, with internet access. The food sadly was of a poor standard the first night i waited 40... more

Having paid a rate of GBP45 for a nights' B&B we were pleasantly suprised by the hotel. It seems to be one of the cheapest Holiday Inns in the North West and is 'hidden' away just off the M56 down a country lane. It is signposted from the motorway and is on what seems to be the edge of Runcorn.... more

My fiance and I booked this hotel as we were visiting the Beatles Story in Liverpool, and the Manchester United stadium tour - it's excellent placed for both of those. We paid £132 for two nights bed and breakfast, with a 3-course dinner included on the first night. On the whole, we felt this was very good value for money.... more

I was booked into this hotel, through a coach tour operator - part of my stay. I have been on quite a few coach tours and i have had some good hotels and some bad hotels through the companies. After reading some of the reviews I was unsure of what to expect. I was on the 4th floor and the... more

When you eventually manage to find the Hotel - I have never seen so many speed bumps in my life - you are filled with the usual trepidation as you approach the 70's/80's brick exterior. Is this going to be the tired "Crossroads" type establishment we have all experienced in the past? No it isn't. The reception staff were very... more

The best I can say about this hotel is that it is clean. Our room was the size of a matchbox. The quilt cover was threadbare and had holes in places. No spare blankets in room. The hotel layout is very strange and at times feels like you're boarding an airplane. The modem instructed me to plug in the "provided"... more

I stayed here on business in July. Its a pretty grim looking property built of red brick in that 1960's style. Looks and feels a lot like a sports centre. The rooms are clean but a bit in need of renovation or a makeover. Service at the reception was pretty good and the service level's all round were generally good... more

I thought that the hotel was very clean and tidy, as i did not expect this after reading the previous reviews i was very shocked and could easily say that to me they all sound very un true. The breakfast variety was very good and you could have as much as you wanted. I stayed on a sunday night and... more

Stayed here just one night in a superior room with dinner, b&b. Not sure what the standard rooms are like if this was superior, its worrying. For £144 was poor value although room was clean it was old and outdated and the aircon didnt work properly. Food was average in quality but overpriced although staff were generally polite and helpful.... more

It is hard to know where to start, the hotel is outdated and grotty looking before you have even entered. The room smelt dirty and damp and I found that the net curtains were covered in Mould and Mildew. The rooms are small and cramped, the bathroom tiny and again didn't smell very clean, there were several lightbulbs not working... more
