Sadly, after my last stay things in the beefeater next door have returned to there usual awful self, meaning this will be my last stay here. The hotel is excellent, great staff, comfortable rooms, very clean, etc all you would expect from a top Premier Inn. It all goes wrong when you eat next door, terrible food, poor staff attitude,... First off this is a budget hotel so not much is expected but honestly the hotel is very clean fresh and the staff were great. We arrived late to find a beefeater with a difference next door to the hotel (30 seconds walk) this is not a standard beefeater that was something else. Great food, great vibe and very modern.... We stayed here for one night on 1st Nov just to break up our journey into North Wales. On arrival, check in was very straightforward, room was nice and clean and comfortable. Breakfast was in pub next door and was freshly cooked (really nice)! All staff were polite and friendly. Overall, couldn't fault the place and would definitely stay here... More

We wanted a short break and decided to combine it with some shopping and some tracing our family links. Our children laughed when we said we were going to Runcorn. Preston Brook rather than Runcorn , on the edge of the Cheshire countryside, Frodsham Hill and Delamere Forest. A lovely welcome at Reception is always a good start - and... More

Stayed for one night and arrived late, with an 18month old in the car my wife went to check in while I stayed in the car. She got the key and came out for the bags, No sooner she had started unloading the car, Graham came darting out of reception and up the path, as he saw her with a... More

Having never stopped at a Premier Inn I have to say that we weren't disappointed, upon arrival we were greeted by a very polite and friendly member of staff . We asked for a room facing away from the motorway and offered us a 4 bed room, she then went to the room and took the extra bed away that... More

Stayed for quite a few nights and it's the usual PI standard. Room was a little cold at times and heater not working but I was immediately provided with an oil radiator. Rooms very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. The traffic noise is constant, particularly on one side of the hotel as I've been in both sides and... More

I would have to disagree with anyone that says this hotel is in a good location. The rooms on the M56 side are litterally centimeters away from the road resulting in a very noisy attempted sleep experience. The hotel have tried to combat this by fitting secondary double glazing over the existing double glazing but sadly it doesn't stop the... More

Good location, reasonable price, fresh new restaurant next door but with miserable staff and inefficient kitchens (be prepared to wait, esp at breakfast). Only real issue was our room (11) smelt of smoke, esp in the bathroom - think it was on old converted smoking room - so recommend you ask for upstairs room.

3 of us stayed one night at this hotel because all the hotels in Chester were full due to the races. It is quite a long way out of Chester but you get to it via the motorway and the A roads and it didn't take very long, except that we went past it the first time and had to... More
