Stayed here for a party in the area. Room was brill, spotless and had everything you needed! Beds are so comfortable! Like unbelievably so! Could do with better lighting in the bedroom but that is my only gripe. Reception had a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the team seemed pleasant. Amazing value! Would recommend and will return!

We stayed here for two nights. We literally couldn't find anywhere else to stay so this was a last minute, and we thought it was ok all in all. Pros are that its cheap, clean and comfortable, slept really well. Cons, dark lighting and tired décor, plus no 24 hour front desk is a bit disconcerting, especially if you are... More

Read up before going and was worried...I shouldn't of. A great believer in you get what you pay for. The room was cheap, clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly. Even though next to Runcorn station, the room was quiet. We stayed to visit Chester zoo, only 30 mins away, but would use this place again if I'm the... More

As other people have said, a bit 'holiday camp-ish'. However, my partner and I stayed there to save us rushing around and getting up at 3.30am to get to Liverpool Airport. I knew it wasn't a 5 star place but for what I needed it was perfectly adequate. The room was clean and the staff very friendly. The food was... More

We stayed here for two nights this month. First impression from outside was that it looks very run down and not very welcoming. Room was clean as was the bedding and towels and there was plenty of hot water for a bath. Room was tiny but as we were only staying two nights it wasn't really a problem.

usual standard of rooms for campanile.. comfy.. adequate room to manouver... usual game of hunt the socket for your electrical appliances... could do with a bit of money spent on redecoration of rooms... and could certainly do with re grouting of bath/ shower. Oh and I know it's Runcorn (famous for 2 pints of lager..) but really there is no... More

Upon arrival my first thoughts were Pontins, rows of drab looking shalleys. When entering the so called room "shalley" we were greeted by a horrendous dirty stench! Myself and partner took it upon are self to go to a local supermarket to buy air freshener before we could even sleep in there. Staff communication was horrendous I had to show... More

To expect the campanile in Runcorn to compare to a mainstream hotel is not really fair. Its not its raison d'etre. What it does do extremely well is to provide a nice clean room for the night with a comfy bed. For the price I could not complain. Check in was seemless even though I'd booked on the wrong day... Staff are a real asset to this hotel. Cheerful and friendly welcome and check-out. Rooms are standard UK Campanile rooms. We stayed in 119 and it was clean, comfortable and everything worked. We ate in the restaurant and the food was good and service prompt. Had a very good nights sleep and bed was comfortable. People may criticise this place... More

You get what you pay for, basic, clean, in need of a lick of paint. Friendly staff. Free parking. Very handy for the train station, £6.50 return ticket to Liverpool. We'd definitely return if it was modernised.
