Booked a single room an was upgraded to double.room was small but very comfortable and clean with a window that I could open.did not hear traffic noise considering the hotel is on a main road.Breakfast was well presented. Unfortunately this matter was not brought to my attention till 3 days later. If it had been reported to the night porter on duty at the time, he could of intervened and tried to rectify the situation. On checking with the night porter the people in the adjacent room only came down once for a cigarette. Nothing more that we... More

With reference to the beds. Most hotels use this type of bed. They are called zip & link & give the hotel the option of making the rooms either a double or a twin. Unfortunately we have no control over what time our guests return from a night out.. Reception was never made aware there was a noise issue so... More

Pleasantly surprised. Last minute booking for one night. Very clean, good decor, very comfortable bed. Good breakfast, dining room a bit tight. Mix up with the booking but management very helpful, resolved immediately. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel served a purpose, I was at a festival and needed a bed for the night and breakfast in the morning. It's quite old fashioned and although the girl on reception was friendly enough the kitchen staff didn't look so happy. The beds and rooms are tiny and you can hear everything through the paper thin walls. As I... More

Clean rooms, friendly staff, decent breakfast. Great place to stay on a budget. Stayed for the weekend, every went smoothly. Couple of great local pubs nearby and the Indian eatery across the road is excellent. Just a short walk from town and the train into London, would definitely sat here again.

Booked this for a 1 night stay and found it to be quaint, small room but staff were friendly and helpful. I personally had no issues here, but it seems more recently people have had issues. I think it should be remembered that this isn't a 4 star hotel

Yes rooms ARE small, but mine was clean and comfortable. Good location and good value for money. I found staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Only potential issue is breakfast room is relatively small and so sometimes a wait.

We stayed at this hotel on Saturday night, we booked it last minute, so we didn't have much choice . We booked the room for £70. The room itself was very basic, and quite dusty. The TV was perched on the tiny wooden dressing table in front of the mirror. We were at the front of the hotel, so if... More
