Booked this for a 1 night stay and found it to be quaint, small room but staff were friendly and helpful. I personally had no issues here, but it seems more recently people have had issues. I think it should be remembered that this isn't a 4 star hotel

Yes rooms ARE small, but mine was clean and comfortable. Good location and good value for money. I found staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Only potential issue is breakfast room is relatively small and so sometimes a wait.

We stayed at this hotel on Saturday night, we booked it last minute, so we didn't have much choice . We booked the room for £70. The room itself was very basic, and quite dusty. The TV was perched on the tiny wooden dressing table in front of the mirror. We were at the front of the hotel, so if... More

The room, in honesty, was average, once you got over the stench of stale smoke. Everything else was worse than terrible. The wait for breakfast was 40 minutes. When it arrived it was served to us on a table that hadn't been cleaned, with half of it's constituent elements missing, without cutlery. I personally had to argue I the phone... More

Stayed here July 2014 visiting family for a weekend. Found the hotel to be clean and ideally situated for our requirements. The hotel has 21 rooms varying from singles to an executive suite. We got the suite, which was roomy, had a separate changing room and Jacuzzi bath. Having read the recent reviews, we were a bit sceptical, but could... More

Extremely disappointed. My partner and I stay here often and havr normally had a nice stay. However we were given a room where the shower doesnt work and when we politely informed the staff we were made to feel very uneasy. And then to top it of when having breakfast I found a hair in my food! And then to... More

One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the free wi-fi. Getting an Internet connection is important for me when I'm travelling for business. I wasn't able to get onto the free wi-fi network at any time during my stay. When I went to reception in the evening to ask about it the receptionist simply said that she... More

I found the cleaner very rude at this hotel and not very good. The receptionist was apologising while the cleaner was talking over her telling her not to apologise. Completely unprofessional and I will never stay here again, nor would I recommend it.

This box is nowhere near enough to tell my whole story about my recent stay here. The rooms are tiny and aged but most importantly a personal item was removed from the room while we were out ! It was a reasonably expensive bottle of champagne that we had brought along to give to the couple whos engagement party we... More

Firstly, there is no evidence on CCTV of any champagne being brought in. Why was it not mentioned between the time of getting back in the evening and the time of check out that the champagne was missing?? As regards to what the receptionist told the guest over the phone. The alleged "bottle" that she saw was an empty bottle... More

The staff were helpful in this small hotel but it was all rather average. There is no lift as it's an old building and the stairs are fairly narrow if you're carrying a heavy suitcase. The shower was in a big cubicle but it didn't work very well and it was very hard to adjust it to get the right... More
