The owner was very helpful in directing me around as I didn't know the area very well as was in for a wedding in the neighbouring village. My text instructions were bang on as I arrived quite late and the room was very comfortable and clean. The shower lost heat halfway through a long shower but all in all a... More

Booked prior to flying from Bristol; due to snow we were delayed and phoned ahead to the cottage, we were advised it was inconvenient for us to arrive later than planned (6pm) as the owner was going out! Having resolved this issue we arrived at 8.50pm with instructions as how to get in and where to park. The carpark and... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I do ask guests to advise me of an arrival time, this is a small B&B, and once that time is agreed I do plan my life around the booking time. You did advise me at around 5:20, that you had not set off, so would indeed be late, I... More

We had a small room with en-suite last year on our way back from holiday. Our first view was dog muck in the carpark, secondly, the room had a very strong smell of garlic, which made me feel unwell to say the least. Although I would have gladly paid more if the room was cleaner. Lots of old dust on... More

This was a disappointment from start to finish. Although the house was almost empty, we were given the pokiest little room which was almost impossible to move around in when we took cases into the room. There was a bathroom with a shower which did not have a base so flooded the entire room when used. Quaint but dark and... More

Good choice if you look for a countryside scape with friends, family or couple. Small but cosy rooms. We stayed just for one night, we were a group of 7 friends and we booked one double ensuite room and one family room: 3 beds on the attic + double bed room underneath. The experience overall was really good, comfy beds... More

Firstly I booked on a travel website, then contacted by Meadow Cottage to ask for more money. Then final payment was even higher. DIY breakfast was a hassle and feel like you were imposing in someone's home. Bedroom walls were paper line, so we knew exactly what next door was watching. Ensuits akin to Etap. Beautiful building on the outside,... More

Thank you for your review. You originally booked a room that could not accommodate your request for an extra bed. I advised you a month before your stay, in good time for you to make alternative arrangements, that I would have to upgrade your room, to accommodate your request. The charge to you was exactly what was quoted in my... More

Stayed here after a wedding at the vineyard nearby. Was very happy with the room..clean and cosy with a few cobwebs and spiders but then it is a thatched cottage so to be expected. Breakfast was great...help yourself to all sorts of goodies. Would Def recommend ...great value for money.😀

Stayed on business. The cottage itself is very nice set in some lovely grounds. My room was a little small but very comfortable and inviting. The two dogs that met us on arrival were very friendly. The only issues I could find with meadow cottage and I am nit picking are. It's a little tucked away so nothing really close... More

We stayed at Meadow Cottage the night before we fly to Menorca, so after reading good reviews I opted to book this B&B as it was close to Bristol Airport. We arrived to this beautiful cottage, with ample parking in a quiet location, down a small country lane. We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful with providing... More
