For £65 the least you can expect is to be able to sleep undisturbed. Not at King's Croft. The bed is not a proper double for a start. The mattress is too springy poking your back and the noise goes on until 1a.m. I booked the hotel not knowing there was a wedding planned and I was not told this... More

The restaurant is a glorified marquee with catering to suit camping. Staff polite, chefs rubbish. Worst battered fish I have ever had, taken off my bill which was the least I expected. Very basic menu poorly presented and actually over charged pub food. Is a local wedding venue so book with care and look at Rogerthorpe Manor before doing so.

The room was very disappointing , very small and very tired the floor of the room looked as if someone seeped paper under bed instead of picking it up . As you can see from photos and this was in summer view from this room is of the laundry area , but food at dinner was very good a party... More

Booked this hotel on trip to Yorkshire . Unfortunately although it has some good views the rooms in the annex are very lacking . We didn't stay in the actual hotel so can't comment on this . The annex was dirty, the beds are a standard double, the light from the car park etc prevented any meaningful sleep ( they... More

Had my wedding reception at this place which was good. Came here for my 1st wedding anniversary an the food was poor. Benefit of the doubt decided that my step sons graduation ceremony was an opportunity. Service is appalling. They cannot deal with large groups. Avoid at all costs. It is clearly aimed at the wedding money making machine.

It is now almost a year since we held our wedding reception at Kings Croft Hotel and Im still very upset about our experience. Firstly the good stuff; Grounds are beautiful and make for spectacular photos, food was lovely. Initial meetings on run up to wedding (and paying for it) trouble free but sadly thats where it all ends :-(... More

There were two weddings taking place when we arrived and the staff were obviously over-worked. The receptionist was brusque and clearly had her mind on other things as she checked us in. Our room, number 7, was small and basic, but had a large modern bathroom. We later discovered it was also situated directly above a function room where one... More

Went to kings croft to celebrate my birthday. The meal was very good, good quality and sufficient in quantity. I personally felt the food although plentiful could have been a little hotter. The service was exellant. Coffee/tea on the patio would have been pleasanter if the seats where a little more comfortable. Will definatley revisit maybe on a quiteter day.

We used to be regulars at the former Italian restaurant and this was our first visit to the re vamp with a new name. The Kings Croft is in a great location with wonderful views out toward the distant moors. The place has had a high level of tasteful development. The restaurant based in a marquée style place is well fitted out... More

After being overcharged on my mums birthday last December we were given a complimentary voucher by way of an appology, which we used last Wednesday. The lunch was beautiful, served to us by 2 very overworked "Older" gents, who were lovely.Polite and attentive,a change from youngsters who don't know how to serve properly. Pleasant surroundings and lovely beautifully decorated, smaller rooms for family birthdays... More
