My partner and I have never stayed here but do come in for the occasional drink and meal. In the past the service has been pretty good and the food excellent. Lately things have been on the downturn. If you go in when the manager isn't there, there is rap music playing loudly (in bar and restaurant), the cook is... more

I stayed at the Deincourt Hotel in Newark for 3 nights last week and was more than impressed with the level of service provided by all the staff. My room was well cleaned and as promised by their website was "furnished and decorated to the highest standard" Would recomend to all! more

My partner and I stayed for one night at £74.50 for room and breakfast (we stayed in Room 11). OK the issues? Stains on bathroom floor - only one hand towel, only one glass, a shower curtain that didnt contain the water and no bathmat (only a barge-board) and why have a laundry basket in the bathroom? No mirror on... more

The first glimpse of the hotel arriving from the A1 direction is of what appears to be a semi-derelict building which is a sign of things to come when you enter the Deincourt. To be fair my room on the ground floor wasn't bad but as other reviewers have noted there is the security issue of leaving windows open as... more

We stayed for two nights at the Deincourt paying their way over the odds rates for what was a thoroughly mediocre room. The hotel has apparently been recently refurbished but seemingly by someone more specialised in youth detention centre refits. There is no air conditioning so our only option on a warm night was to open the sash windows -... more

The staff were courteous and helpful. The rooms were very clean with good quality linen. The overall quality of the hotel- stairs, corridors, etc - is very average. The food in the restaurant was very good, even though there were few guests. The only downside was that you had to go past the kitchen to reach the dinind area!! It... more

The only thing that this place had going for it was that the breakfast was reasonably fresh cooked instead of being a buffet job. I was given what appeared to be a box room - presumably the brooms were being stored elsewhere that night. single bed hard up against the wall under the window which had flimsy curtains that did... more

We decided to stay at this hotel as we were invited to a nearby wedding. The hotels website boasts "beautifully refurbished 40-bedroomed hotel" & "All of the rooms at Deincourt Hotel have been furnished and decorated to the highest standard, offering comfort and convenience" however, the room we checked into was far from beautiful or decorated to a high standard.... more

My sister and i have just returned from a two night stay at the Deincourt and were delighted with the hotel and the lovely staff. Our room(a twin)was up 3 flights of steep stairs which was a bit much at our age but the room was fine although double glazing would have cut the road noise but the room was clean... more
