We stayed for three nights in a cabin in the wooded area of the park. Cabin was basic but very clean. Comfy beds and plenty of pillows. Facilities are ample and all well maintained and although the pool is dinky the kids loved it. They really enjoyed the snorkelling and sea scooters. Sherwood Country Park is amazing and only 10... We only stayed here as it actually worked out cheaper than the cheapest hotel we could find and it meant we could eat in and chill out in a home from home on our trip away. It is a very small park, not a lot there except some play areas and a small indoor pool. The lodges are fairly small... More

Went from Monday to Friday came home on the Thursday as I couldn't stand the creeky floors bed and the smelly leaky toilet glad we only came with a baby as there was nothing for smaller or bigger kids to do and for teenagers there was even less for them to do wouldn't of liked to pay the full price... This was a welcome break for my family and I. It only cost £160 for 4 nights but didn't include gas and electricity. The pool was lovely and my 18 month old daughter loved it. She loved the animal corner too and just generally walking round the wood and the complex. In fairness, its not centre parcs but we wasn't... More

Stayed here again due to low price and location - wasn't expecting much and that's what I got, again. Firstly the place was not cleaned very well, hairs from the previous occupants all over the place, food on the utensils in the drawer, and black mold all over the shower (see picture!), quite gross. My second complaint is that this... More

Came here as a group that booked three Slyvan lodges for a long weekend. The lodges were very basic but clean, our lodge had a nice kitchen area which had everything that we needed for the weekend. The beds are on the firm side but that didn't affect our quality of sleep. Before our break away I was concerned with... More

Booked lodge 44 sleeps 8 two double rooms and to with bunks. Lady on reception friendly and welcoming no concerns once in lodge smelt musty and general cleanliness poor had to clean before unpacking! The bathrooms were dirty and I'm a general bad state if repair with mould over bases of shower and lime scale over heads of showers When... More

This is a fantastic wee holiday park. The location is perfect so peaceful and beautiful. The animal corner was a great addition and kids loved it. They don't have any eating facilities on the site but do have take aways near by that deliver. The shop is very small but with tesco and Asda a short distance away this wasn't... More

I spent a week here with my mum, my husband and my (adult) sister who has learning and physical disabilities. We stayed in a Sylvan Lodge, Monday to Friday for £160 including insurance, we got a good deal due to booking couple of weeks before (I think it's about double that normally) Sylvan Lodges are the 'budget' accomodation. Because a... More

Went at weekend for my other halfs birthday. Very average cabin compared to places like darwin forest. Was greeted by a woman at reception who would have been better suited as a doctors receptionist given her cant be bothered attitude. The indoor play and pool area close between 12 and 2 everyday which is most anoying. Why? How longs a... More
