We had a great experience at Stanneylands Hotel. We booked a night here for my friend's wedding. The day was enjoyable, but I experienced problems with our room. Might not be everybody's cup of tea, but this is a real find - I loved it. The hotel has somehow managed to survive being spoilt by "modernisations" and "improvements" and has a real atmosphere of a bygone era about it, I would say 1950s/60s (which is why it might not be everybodys cup of tea).
